After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

This hotel is within a walkable distance from the main tourist attractions. The room is clean, but tired. The towels smelled a little musty. Wi-Fi did not work well inside the room. Of the bath accessories, we were given only soap and shampoo. We had a breakdown of the bath mixer and the staff tried to fix it quickly. In general, all the staff are extremely pleasant and always try to help.

On planning a recent trip along The Silk Road, we found most larger hotels in Samarqand already booked, so we settled on a rented apartment - which was absolutely awful. Imagine our delight when we stumbled upon the charming boutique Hotel Malika Prime, which was not only able to accommodate us almost immediately, but also arranged for a car and driver to help with our relocation. Our spacious and quiet room had the bonus of being located over the front door, so had a tiny balcony embraced by national flags, and boasted a view of the park across the street and the stunning Mausoleum of Emir Temur. While the beds tended to be hard, we found this to be a norm across Uzbekistan. Bathrooms were modern and had mostly reliable hot water. Just enough decor touches to remind us we were in Samarqand. Included breakfast was basic but so convenient. The whole hotel was as clean and tidy as a new pin; the shady rooftop terrace a great place to unwind with a cold beer; and at night it was possible to see both the gorgeously illuminated Gur Emir and the tops of the buildings in the Registan Ensemble. The location is wonderful - within walking distance of these big tourist sites, the entertaining bazaar, and a variety of restaurants. While the hotel is near a main thoroughfare, its leafy street is quiet and cool. Best of all? The friendly and ever-helpful front desk staff, who spoke fluent English and always had time for conversation.

I booked a 1 night stay at the Continental but arrived around 9am, it wasn't an issue and the gentleman on the desk quickly checked me in to a wonderful corner room. A great size with a nice view. The rest of the hotel was spotless and the location was solid. The concierge arranged a city tour with a fantastic guide and we managed the see all the sites.

During our trip we had select East star hotel as our basis for exploring Samarkand. Hotel is centrally located in the center in a nice and quite neighborhood just steps to the main venue and very good restaurants around. Hotel has nice design and room was clean and modern and had everything. We had dinner and some drinks on the rooftop restaurant and food was nice and good price. A very good choice for Samarkand.
We’re in the Silk Road complex, near many of the city’s historic locations. Experience the history and traditions of Uzbekistan in the recreated ancient town, Eternal city. Must see attractions like Registan Square and Gur Emir Mausoleum are less than 11 kilometers away. Enjoy our 24-hour fitness center, wellness facilities and restaurant with a terrace.
GGuest User2023.04.23
If the tour to Samarkand lasts more than 2 days, Silk Road hotels are your choice. It’s kind of like a suburb, but it’s 12 minutes by taxi to the center, 20 to the train station, 30 to the airport. Most of all, this area resembles the territory of an elite country club: a huge lake with boats, the Eternal City ethno park with art studios, wine tasting, a disco, security at the entrance to the territory, and everything is green and well-trained staff. You can safely choose any of the 5 hotels; they all offer an excellent level of service. There is specialization in the types of wellness programs (well, if necessary), but in general, each hotel is a hotel with a quality mark. They changed our hotel 2 days before check-in, but as compensation they kept the same price and gave us a better room. The breakfasts are such that they last until dinner, the products are of high quality, the preparation is beyond praise... we had them for an additional fee, but were worth every cent. The rooms are medium in size, but cozy, comfortable, the equipment installed is fantastic. Maybe that's why it sometimes crashes. But all problems are resolved instantly, the staff is clearly not only friendly and polite, they have undergone special training in hospitality, this is noticeable. The hotel is brand new, but this is probably 4+, although the food is 5 points. And at the same time, the hotel remains a place where not just professionals work, but nice and empathetic people. We were late for the train, a taxi was not called, the entire morning shift was involved in solving the problem, they helped, saw us off, and worried about us as if we were family. Respect. This became our key point - not just service, but a lot of warmth and involvement.
Located next to the Rowing Canal, our hotel is convenient to historical sites and offers a shuttle to nearby attractions. We’re 600 meters from the Eternal City, a recreated ancient town transporting you back in time. Registan Square and Shah-i Zinda are within 10 kilometers from us. We offer rooms with balconies, meeting rooms, and a restaurant with a terrace.

The hotel is very new, far away from the busy city and very quiet. The hardware is very good, just like the pictures on Ctrip. The breakfast is rich. The guys at the front desk are very nice and can communicate easily in English. Friends traveling with us all said that this hotel was a treasure. Especially the environment around the hotel is comfortable and comfortable, especially suitable for a stroll under the sunset. The evening in Central Asia is very refreshing. There is a newly opened carnival a few hundred meters away from the hotel, with DJs several stories high who are having fun with music and lights. The snacks inside are delicious and not expensive, and there is also a commercial street modeled after a mosque, which is crowded with people. The hospitable Uzi people will take photos with Chinese people when they see them. Although I can't understand what they say, I can feel their happiness and sincerity. In short, this hotel is an unexpected surprise in Samarkand!

Great experience, beyond expectations. The room was perfect, spacious, and the bathroom was very modern. Only setback was that the TV did not offer many international channels or movies. Restaurants and breakfast were amazing, especially the rooftop bar. Great food. The Kamchatka crab salad and the bread were wonderful. The staff was great, service of high standards. All spoke English and were helpful when we went for sightseing the city, arranging transportation and any other requests. Finally, the Silk Road Project is very nice. Definetely the best place to stay in Samarkand, and it is at the same level of top 5-star brand hotels in Western countries.

Everything was excellent until the black out happened twice in one morning on our last day at the hotel. ID of the toilets need improvement - need the racks to be spaced out for hanging clothes and towels. WiFi can be improved, randomly getting cut out, not so ideal for working. Heated water in the shower was a tad too hot and couldn't make it colder. Mr T. loves the bidets and the multi-functioned toilet bowls. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of selection.

Outstanding
ZZhenziThe staff are all pleasant and helpful.
As for the service, I put a plate asking for the room to be cleaned, but when I came back at noon, it was still not cleaned.
The balcony of the Jr suite room was very large and comfortable.
The food in the restaurant was very delicious. However, alcohol is not served, so it is not suitable for those who want to drink alcohol during meals.
Overall satisfied as a 4 star hotel.
TtravellerVMovenpick is the most cost-effective among the 5 hotels/guest houses we stayed in throughout Uzbekistan. The location is excellent, located at the junction of the old city and the new city, so it is very convenient to go to any attractions! The room was big and clean. Breakfast is very rich!
The only drawback is that the swimming pool is very thin and is suitable for children to play in. In addition, the lockers in the locker rooms are not installed and are almost unusable😅 I only found one that can be locked.
GGuest UserGood choice! We stayed two nights in the 12beds room. The room was nice and tidy, a.c. was working properly and everyone got a nice bed, with curtains to have some privacy. In the room there are two bathrooms, and both are clean and with functioning showers. There is wifi and you can chill in the courtyard, which is really nice and relaxing. The hostel is not too far from the center and you can reach the incredible Registan in 45 minutes walking. Bear in mind, in summer Samarkand is scorching hot, so it would be better to take a yandex or a bus, asking for Amir Temur. The starting point for the bus is very close to the hostel. We didn't try the breakfast, so we can't comment about that. The host is exceptionally clear and talkative, and can speak english at a really good level He was keen to help us, underlying the main itinerary in Samarkand and suggesting us a really nice restaurant close to the hostel. Really, the host really knows how to make his job. Now, two little notes, amongst all the positive things we mentioned, both notes are referred to the 12 beds room. There are no lockers in the room, but the host was willing to help us, keeping in his office our valuable stuff. He also mentioned that there are plans of adding Lockers soon. The room is very (very) close to the street, so at night you can hear noises from the car passing by. You can sleep quietly with earplugs, but it's something worth to mention. There are plugs to charge your phone close to the bed, and that's nice. All in all a good choice.
김김종진The hotel is on foot from the city's business card. And the hotel administration has always been responsive to my request.
I am generally satisfied and I think the price and service ratios are quite attractive. Yet still leaves the best desire: it would be better if the menu for breakfast would change on a regular basis. I stayed there for almost a week but the menu always was the same.
JJim Liu123Facilities: The Hilton Hotel booked on Ctrip is great. Suitable for business trips and travel.
Hygiene: Hygienic conditions are very clean.
Environment: The surrounding environment is very quiet and suitable for sleeping.
Service: The waiter's attitude is very good.
GGuest UserIncomplete description of the rooms: No window in the standard! No window is specified! The interior window comes out into the corridor, it is glued with a film passing the light. Black-out curtains are not available, so they slept under a bright corridor lamp, which is installed opposite the pseudo window and lights directly into the room. With the light in the hotel trouble: powerful cold spectrum lights are installed everywhere, the light in the room - as in the operating room, in 10 minutes starts to break the eyes. Light is burning everywhere and even on sunny day: on breakfast (though panoramic windows are here), corridors, stairs. The safe in the room didn't work. The bathroom requires repair: water is badly left, over a tiny shelter, over which it is impossible to wash, there is no shelf for the equipment. Of the pluses: good location, all new (but for allergic: there is a smell of new coatings that somehow try to silence with flavourers: the smell in the corridors as in the sinks). The room has a TV screen, but there is no TV, only Internet access. Breakfast is common for Uzbekistan except for the layout of fruit: dolls of mandarin and apples, ungenerously stretched on one plate. Plus: a coffee machine that rarely exists here. Our mistake: we booked directly. I advise through the booking sites: tc it is any leverage of influence on the hotel, interested in reviews and ratings. And directly: When you check in, we will learn that the room is without a window. Who to complain? ! Nobody. The room category was refused, although the hotel had only 6 rooms. That is, if booking is the most expensive type of room and not allergic.
JJiaojiaoThe correspondence between the men at the front desk and the young women was smiling, and it was easy to consult about problems. The interior of the hotel was very nice. Located 20 〜 30 minutes walk from Registan Square and Shahzinda, there was no inconvenience in moving because you can call a taxi conveniently by yangdex go.
I would like to use it next time.
ドドイchanThe facilities are old, so it can't be helped, but there were shops nearby where you can buy daily necessities and simple food, as well as places to eat, so there was no inconvenience.
The owner responded to various requests seriously and quickly and was very helpful
They also arranged a one-day taxi to Shahri Saabs for a reasonable price of $50 (the driver told me it was $80), so I was able to afford a little more.
I enjoyed my stay in good Samarkand
