We were looking forward to an overnight stay-cation in Morro Bay and Masterpiece Hotel did not disappoint. Thought not near the water, the location was quiet and very clean. We were pleased to see extra electric outlets for charging, which is so necessary with the multiple electronic devices we carry these days. In particular, the front desk was extremely helpful with everything that we asked for. The continental breakfast also included fresh made waffles, good coffee, fresh fruit selection and yogurt. It was more than the description implied.
The bed was comfortable and the towels soft. It looks like the property has been updated and made for a comfortable stay. Not luxury bet well worth the cost. Thank you to the staff and definitely recommend for the price, location and good clean hotel.

This place had been on my list for years. We were in the area and finally got to go. We went in the afternoon. The fancy pink restaurant isn’t open at that time but you are able to tour the grounds on your own. We walked around and took pictures. The pink is unreal and everywhere. It’s eccentric and feels like you’re in Alice and Wonderland or Barbie Land. There’s a gift shop upstairs where you can buy the goblets. There’s a gift shop downstairs and a restroom. Go into the restrooms. The eccentric details are even there. The men’s bathroom has a waterfall urinal. The women’s bathroom has beautiful details. On the main floor we had lunch at the Copper Cafe. It was good food. Service was great. Order the world famous Pink Champagne cake. I’m not even a fan of cake and I enjoyed it. This place was definitely a highlight of our visit to the Pismo area.

The hotel is in the city center, the location is convenient, but when you first check in at the front desk, the hotel needs to charge a tax, but it is true that the room fee has been paid in full when booking with Ctrip, but in order to check in as soon as possible, we still follow the hotel's requirements I paid the money, then contacted Ctrip, and received a reply from Ctrip the next day, promising to refund the corresponding taxes and fees, and Ctrip’s refund was credited to the account on the same day, so although there was a problem, it was communicated and resolved in a timely manner, especially Ctrip’s The Internet telephone communication option is still a very important timely and effective communication method for guests who are abroad and are inconvenient to answer the phone.

My family and I needed to be in San Luis Obispo for a family emergency. We stayed at the Peachtree Inn. They were kind, they were sympathetic to our situation and they were so very accommodating. My family and I had planned on going on a Thursday but needed to change plans and go a day early. I called to ask if this was possible and the staff made it possible on top of that they gave me a huge discount as well. When we arrived they had us make sure all of us would be comfortable in the family suite, because if we weren’t they were going to make changes for us. At the end of our stay we thought we might need to extend an extra day I called the front desk and talked to them and without hesitation they said don’t worry about it we will take care of you. Not only were they kind and empathetic for me and my family, they were kind to other members of my extended family and friends who stayed there as well for the same reasons. As someone who works in the travel industry and customer service I was so impressed with the Peach tree and their staff. I would stay here 1000 times over because of their kindness their empathy and their willingness to do the right thing for a family that is going through something terrible.

We stayed at Avila Village Inn the week between Christmas and New Years. So this is a late but rightly deserved review. I can't say enough about the service and quality of the rooms, staff and property. 5 Star Review from our family. All staff from everyone who was at the front desk to our housekeeping staff was superb. I am writing this review for an above and beyond thing that the Front Desk clerk, Tommy, did. And I want him to be recognized: This was a last minute vacation scheduled for my little family (myself, husband and our 2 year old daughter). Daycare was closed for 2 weeks so what the heck, let's go to the Central Coast, a place we love so much. My husband is an alumni of Cal Poly SLO so he was itching for a visit. If anyone has kids or has close relationships with children, you know that something if they lose something coveted, all hell will break loose. My daughter just got a new Moana blanket from her aunt and loved it. She walks around the house with it, plays with it, bundles her dolls in it, etc. We decided it's a small and thin enough blanket, lets bring it with us on this trip to make things easier. On our last night there, we could not locate the blanket, but kiddo fell asleep easy enough, I figured I would find it the next morning while we packed up to leave. We searched everywhere in the room, the closets, the balcony, the swimming pool, out car - Nothing. Well, in our last ditch effort when we were checking out and said thank you to the staff, we asked about the blanket just in case. They looked at lost and found and didn't see anything. So we had a sad 2 year old that we were strapping into the carseat to head home. Just as we were about to back out of the parking stall to leave, Tommy comes running for us and sees us in our truck, waves us down - With the Blanket in hand!! As soon as we walked out, he happened to check with room service just in case. And they looked and they found it! It must have got wrapped up in the sheets when room service cleaned out room. We were so thankful for him just checking for us but us parents were the most thankful as we didn't have to hear the crying and whining about losing the blanket then having to replace it. So thank you Tommy for going above and beyond!! We appreciate you!

Nice modern newer hotel in Atascadero, convenient for visiting Paso Robles, Morro Bay, SLO and Avila Beach (as long as you have a car). Minutes from the 101. PROS: Plenty of free parking, well lit. Modern, clean, newer hotel with up-to-date decor. Friendly front-desk person. Pool, gym, business center and breakfast included. Nice spacious breakfast area. Wall Street Journal available in lobby. Quiet stay until our last night when we had to call the front desk twice when a rabble of people were being very loud on our floor after 'Quiet Hours'. Vending machines and small shop with essentials available downstairs. CONS: I was not impressed that they don't offer housekeeping/a room refresh unless you're staying more than 5 days, although there was the option to ask for new towels at the front desk. When you're paying around the $200/night mark, you expect to come back at the end of a busy day to have at least your bed made and the room refreshed. I was told that 'People like the fact nobody enters the room while they're gone'. While this is one advantage, this is basically post-Covid corporate greed speak for 'It's a good excuse to not spend money and hire people to clean and make back some money we lost'. If I don't get my room cleaned, I might as well rent a room in someone's house through an on-line app. Breakfast food was your typical hotel chain buffet with sugary yogurts, cheap breads/bagels, rubbery eggs, brown spotted bananas, etc. When are hotels going to start offering more quality food? At least it's something to put in your belly before you go out for the day and you don't have to traipse the streets looking for breakfast. All-day coffee and tea in the lobby would be a nice touch like some other chains offer. I found the bathroom dimly lit, despite a light around the mirror. The light in the room was more natural for applying make-up. If you found this review useful, please click the thank button.

Stayed here for my cousin's wedding weekend. It was a very nice motel. Newly renovated with a modern look and very clean. There isn't a physical person in the lobby, you check in with someone via a type of Skype situation. It was strange at first, but then you realize how simple and easy it is to check in and out with just a few clicks. They offer free coffee in the lobby, and a fridge and microwave in the room, which was a big plus for us! We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little place. Love the fire pit that you can sit around at night. The room was hot and they don't have air conditioning.. wasn't comfortable with open windows with people walking by all night. Overall a great stay. Would come back during cooler weather for sure.

We stopped here for a night and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and comfortable with a big comfortable bed, probably one of the most comfortable beds of our trip and we've stayed in more expensive accommodations on this trip It's always good when one fine's somewhere like this. It was excellent value and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

MMIMI LIUPerfect stay with a good sea view in the evening, comfy bedding, large room space, smart tv and good service. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay on your road trip. It would be even nicer if I could have arrived early( I arrived around 8pm and didn’t have much time enjoying the hot tub and the beach) and morning view was foggy. Breakfast was okay (i thought that would be some meats). Overall I love this place a lot!!! (Oh also the room price dropped around $60 three days before i arrived so I rebooked it make sure you check the price when your trip is approaching) 这个酒店的电视可以投屏真的很不错!!
BbyudgA very new hotel, the room is large and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed in a barrier-free room, the cloak hook, the position of the toiletries was very low, considering the height of the disabled wheelchair, the shower room was very strange, and the cold water was sprayed on me. The hotel has a swimming pool, but the water temperature is not very high.
jesse at the front desk is very friendly and helps us solve the problem of foreigners charging the car locally.
The three old breakfasts are traditional dishes of Huanpeng, and they are eaten again every day.
”Creekside” is literal, there is a beautiful creek behind the motel. It was a great little place to spend the night. The room was clean and it was well kept. We were driving down the coast and stayed here on a Monday night. The bed was comfortable and the creek and woodsy area behind the motel was pretty cool. You could hear the frogs in the woods and it was amazing to listen to. Plenty of parking and easy access to the room. We had a great stay here. Will stay again when in the area.
GGuest UserSo after a long day of driving south on Pacific 1, both wifey and I were weary and happy to see the Morgan Hotel sign as we came out of the mountains. When we walked into the lobby, there was nice music playing and we were greeted by friendly staff. The room presents nicely when you walk in hence the nice photos online. Then you start seeing the signs of age. The small fridge was very old and door would not close properly. There is no microwave in the room. There was a table fan provided and it was ok to keep you semi cool during the night. Honestly when driving down the Pacific 1, we found it was a common theme when you are close to the ocean so maybe it's not a thing but we found it very strange not having AC in the room. Pros Easy to get to once you emerge from the mountains. It is in San Simeon which is basically a community of hotels. Free parking Pet friendly Comfortable bed and pillows Our room had a fireplace and super comfy couch. Updated bathroom Very nice pool area and breakfast area Cons Very bad internet. I could not even get my laptop to connect! We were at the end of the hall so that may have been part of the cause. I'm a computer guy so internet is important to me. When I finally did get to connect, the speed was less than 1Mbps. This is barely enough to check your email these days. The room was very empty and could easily handle getting rid of the little round side table and adding a nice coffee table in front of the couch OR adding a desk and chair. The room is large but the space is poorly utilized. The TV and remote are a throwback to the 80's. The remote is so old that the finish was rubbing off the back. No sleep timer on the TV. As others have stated the breakfast is terrible. There is basically yogurt and bagels. Nothing is hot, no eggs, no bacon, no sausage. There is ample room to provide a typical continental breakfast and this is the first hotel we've stayed at on our 12 day highway 1 adventure that provided such a bad breakfast. Even the bare basic Best Western hotels have a superior breakfast experience. Summary If you just staying a night and don't care about internet or breakfast, this was a nice clean, reasonably priced hotel with a comfy bed and pillows and clean bathroom.
GGuest UserTitle: Perfect Weekend Getaway at Spyglass Inn, Pismo Beach
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Spyglass Inn in Pismo Beach, and it was a great experience. Nestled in a prime location, this inn offers easy access to the best of the area's natural beauty and recreational activities.
Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Waking up to the serene views of the ocean and the calming sound of the waves was a daily highlight. The beach itself is clean and inviting, perfect for both sunbathing and very peaceful at dawn and sunset. The area boasts several scenic hiking trails. We took advantage of these and were rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to reconnect with nature.
Food options around Spyglass Inn also added to the charm of our stay. We indulged in some local cuisine that was as delicious as it was diverse. From fresh seafood to hearty breakfasts, plus a great steak in Arroyo Grande, 5 min drive.
The inn itself provides a wonderful atmosphere to unwind. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing retreat. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, going out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
Overall, our weekend at the Spyglass Inn was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway in a picturesque setting. Whether you're an avid hiker, a beach lover, or just in need of some peaceful downtime, Spyglass Inn is an ideal choice.
Eericlm1229The lobby was being renovated when I checked in, and I checked in at a workbench at the door temporarily, but the hotel was generally good, and the brand that has been Hilton Garden Inn was still guaranteed. The hotel is located on a hillside on the edge of the main road. There is a Japanese restaurant across the road. There is a table where you can watch the sunset. It is not far from Pismo Beach. It is booked for one night and then added another night.
1101traveller1011The hotel is under reno. but the rooms are clean and good size, really close to Pismo beach, it is just off the HWY but no noise what so ever, the big minus is the Breakfast area and food quality, which needs to be improved, and in such case will be back for sure, otherwise, we will look around.
VVelasquezMy experience here was great! First, it was super clean! That’s what’s most important to everyone right? The bathrooms were so clean that the floors were shining. I was so impressed with the size of the room too. It was so spacious that it at least 3 different seating areas. The breakfast was good too. We knew it was a brown bag due to Covid but honestly it was ok because they fill up your bag with so many goodies. We didn’t use the pool but we did view it and it was also very clean and very well maintained. The front desk was very polite and helpful when I asked for suggestions for restaurants. My nephew moved to SLO and this was the reason for our trip. We’ve decided this will be our hotel every time we visit. We were very impressed.
GGuest UserWe only stayed for one night, but the person who checked us in and out was super nice and friendly. We also had accidentally left our watch behind in the room after our check-out and when we went back to pick it up, they had it for us at the front desk.
The rooms themselves were nice. They had only given us one towel though, when the room was booked for two adults. Small detail. The floor was a bit dirty, as when I tried walking barefoot after a shower or in between changing, my feet would pick up dirt. Cleanliness could have been improved. Beds were spring, so they made a bit of noise when you move around on them. And the walls were quite thin, so it was easy to hear folks outside our room. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay for one night for a really cheap rate.
WWilsonMonicaThis establishment has the most amazing staff who are so accommodating, kind, and compassionate. Each and every one of them go out of their way to make sure it's guests every need with a smile. They had just done some remodeling and the rooms are beautiful and clean. They have the most amazing hot tub which you can see below pictured. It is unlike any other in the area and absolutely beautiful with their two waterfalls and big enough to have a party in. They give you the feeling it's like one big family. I feel welcomed and cared for. They definitely leave the lights it more importantly ... The genuinely leave their smiles on! I have yet to see anyone without a smile here. Including fellow guests. Thank you Rose Garden In
