The only positive side of my room was the bed. The rest of the room was disgusting. Dirty bathroom and shower. No wardrobe or bedside cabinets, or anywhere to put your things on ! Milk was off. Sockets for plugs were none existent, I had to prop my things on a chair and the bin to reach the sockets. As for the clientele, they mustn’t sleep……….banging on doors until 1am, not good when you’re a coach driver trying to sleep and be alert for the next day. Basically avoid this place like the plague.

Avoid, avoid, avoid - hotel cancelled my bank holiday booking 9 days before and now left with nothing as everywhere full. The only explanation given was maintenance issue, to which I responded, but it is 9 days away, surely you can fix it in time, no apparently not and when I asked who I can complain to, she said no-one. Thank you for ruining my bank holiday weekend OYO Marina, which I have been looking forward to. To to twist the knife further, I got an email the same day they cancelled saying sorry I had changed my mind and if I wanted to re-book, please click link - when I did the price had doubled - £900 for 2 nights!! Shame on you OYO Marina, you have deprived good hardworking people who bring revenue to your hotel of a well earned break on bank holiday.

Just got back from OYO Marina for the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally what a great long weekend away. The management is always friendly and helpful been going for six years now to the same hotel. I could not wish for a better Hotel and I can’t wait to go back next year. Are room is alway clean for us What can I say OYO see you next year Thank You

OYO Marine on first appearance outside is a nice hotel, on this occasion the problems started appearing at the beginning of the trip. No one in reception to check you in resulting in me having to contact the main office on the mainland to get someone to come down. Doors on hotel rooms aren’t very secure. Television was small, linen was no clean and looked like it had been there for a while. The next day as you do when you wake up go for a shower, there was NO hot water at all in the bathroom making it impossible to have a decent shower. Rooms were not cleaned everyday and the supplies for tea and coffee which they supply is enough for 1/2 coffees staff leave after 8pm so you cannot request any more. Also there was only 2 plugs in the entire room both which were taken by the kettle and tv so bring an extension lead if you’re planning to visit with multiple devices. Overall disappointing I won’t be visiting again.

Stayed here for the weekend at the start of September! It is very dated and dirty ! The owners were friendly enough but the rooms need attention.There was a smell of ******** in the hotel everywhere! The bed linen and towels were clean but the room itself and the shower room were dirty ! There was black mould all over the ceiling in the en suite ! It's a shame cos it could be a nice place to stay if it was better managed ! Would not recommend!

Had to abandon our stay mid way, majorlynmisleading listings and terrible maintenance issues. Zero concern for cleaning or repairs. No working heating, leaks in one room everything broken. All the money seemingly has been spent on a street food area. We came here before when it opened as an OYO and it was great sadly no longer. Booked two Rooms a Double marketed as a Deluxe Seaview and a Standard Single. On the website these where shown to be modern rooms and the double actually having a double bed not twins put together. The standard single had water pouring from the roof anytime people above showered or used their taps. Mentioned this to staff and was told it wasn’t a concern as long as it wasn’t on the bed. The standard single had a 32 inch TV the deluxe had a broken 10inch. Which was weird. The single otherwise seemed to have been redone. So strange a basic room was much better than a premium one? The “deluxe room” had no working heating, broken lights, broken tiny TV, broken windows, holes in the walls, broken bathroom with broken floors, a broken hairdryer and filthy shower. The bed was meant to be a double but was made up of a soiled single and another single shoved together, carpet is threadbare, so much damage in the common areas and a smell of a full grease trap throughout. Which was off putting. The bar area as massively noisy all night on Friday until late, great it’s popular but not so much for hotel guests. It’s really confusing why not put a little bit of money in repairing I know it’s a really hard time for the industry at the moment but why market things as deluxe it is very misleading if they are lesser than your standard offering. Welcome was really friendly but beyond that not been able to really get any help only via *********** getting involved no one at the front desk otherwise. Repeatedly fobbed off by OYO support. Having had a great stay here previously but bemused. Would not be returning.

Took my daughter (5yo) for a couple of days in Sandown. Booked to stay in the OYO more due to low costs than anything else. It is very much what it says which is a budget hotel so no frills and very basic rooms but more than adequate for us. Had booked a twin but was given a double when we arrived. Could of been awkward if my daughter was older but no biggie on this occasion. Hotel is sited perfectly on the beach and close to all amenities. Friendly, helpful staff and great food close by in the street food huts. Music is a little loud but usually gone by 9-10pm and didn’t disturb our sleep but others may struggle. All in all, it is basic, rooms need major updating and decorating but we paid budget price and more than served our needs.

Booked 5 rooms 3 weeks in advance for the Jubilee holidays for our group of friends. On the actual day we were on our way to the hotel we received an email from Oyo Marina telling us that they have cancelled our booking due to some electrical issues in the place. Since there are no other place for us to stay as the cancellation is way too late we have decided to proceed to the place so they can at least sort out our problem. The receptionist told us that he can only give us 2 rooms for 7 people ( 5 people will be sharing 1 room and 1 room for a couple). The offer was unacceptable as there were 9 of us in the group and only seven are offered a place. We insisted that he should provide 1 more room for the other couple. After a long discussion he decided to give us another room. After checking all the rooms we found lots of issues ( blocked sink, crusty shower head, broken shower door, hair dryer is about to fall off from the wall). On our way out to go for a walk after settling in we saw more people talking to the receptionist and overheard them having the same discussion since OYO Marina Hotel also tried to cancel their booking when they already on their way to the place. Like what I mentioned in the description if there is a negative rating, this hotel would be number 1 on the list. Please avoid this hotel at all cost you will just be wasting money and your holiday will be in peril.
