Sandton Executive Suites Hydro Park

I booked a 2 bed apartment for Valentines. For my partner and her 2 sisters. We arrived and after being efficiently checked in we all swam.We had the pooj to ourselves. The entire decking is in need of replacement.Lots of wobbly and broken planks. The water was clean and warm. The apartment itself was massive. Modern kitbhen with washer and dryer huge fridge freezer stereo tv with dstv although the dstv remote wouldnt work. Theres a technician on call but we didnt bother. We bought supplies at pick n pay Benmore Gardens which is 10 mins walk away although theres lots of traffic to negotiate. There are 2 massiue double bedrooms with modern en suite bathroms also huge. My bedrom tv was missing just the wall bracket. My bedroom also had a lovely patio quite large although the floor was wet from aircon condenser hose draining on to it or it may have been rainwater from 48 hours earlier. My bedside lamp didnt work and the clock over the front door needed a battery. I will report on check out. Anyway after dinner my girlfriend and her sisters got up and left me alone in splendid isolation. The apartments come with towels and soaps and are cleaned daily. All this for £100 a night. Next time i bring a girl here I ,ll make sure she doesnt want to leave

To use the word "executive" is an adjective that cannot be associated with the service and level of professionalism usually associated with the word. This is akin to a concetration camp where even a visitor is not allowed to have a drink without security harrasing you in your appartment. This place is best avoided at all costs!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment that we booked off Airbnb. The owner of the particular apartment was very nice and responsive. The apartment itself was clean and very well furnished. The problem was the administration of the building. We had problems checking in despite our documentation being shared well in advance and were treated like children who the building was doing a favor by staying there based on the most nonsensical rules I have ever come across as a frequent traveller. From not being able to drop off at the front of the building and having to walk about 300 meters carrying a sleeping child because the rules say in the evening you cannot be dropped off at the reception - to my visitors (who I was to pick from the reception and escort back out) having to go to a police station to get a affidavit to be allowed into the building because they had not carried an id. The strange rules kept cropping up and we finally left early and forfeited 3 days worth of prepaid accommodation rather than continue in this stressful environment. I don’t know what the administration are trying to achieve but they have created an environment that is just terrible
