Old Bishop's Quarters Hobart

We had a lovely stay at this charming location in Hobart! A very central location for exploring the town and very thoughtful provisioning. Spacious room and washer dryer available which was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Thank you for such a wonderful and inviting stay at The Housekeepers Apartment as part of the Old Bishop's Quarters. We loved our set up in this fully renovated historical home. We were two friends travelling together. We each had our own bathroom and bedroom, with a shared lounge dining kitchen space. The beds were comfy, the apartment was spotlessly clean and well thought out in terms of what was available. Great toiletries, and a bottle of milk and orange juice waiting for us in the fridge. Some home made biscuits and jam in a basket were also provided, along with some extra gifts which were well appreciated. Rebecca, our host, left the most beautiful flowers from her garden in our living area and they got better each day we stayed. The grounds are magnificent and the view from our kitchen out to the bay were stunning. Everything was easy walking distance, however we hired a small car for some day trips and parked in the area set aside. We also were taken on a tour of the garden and the additional apartments and I'd be happy to stay in any of them. So well appointed it was like staying in a hotel. Laundry facilities were shared and easy to access. If you are looking for a home away from home close to great restaurants and cafes, I would highly recommend a stay at one of the apartments at The Old Bishop's Quarters.

I would love to give this accommodation a 1 star review just so that I can keep it as my own secret and always have access but that would be cruel . The old bishops quarters is an absolute delight . We stayed in the housekeepers apartment the whole place was beautifully appointed. We had a welcome basket on arrival with a lovely bottle of Pinot the perfect end to a long journey and best start to our holiday. The apartment is just out of the hustle and bustle therefore making it peaceful at night but close enough for us to walk to Salamanca square every evening for dinner. Beds were great , bathrooms a delight and a lovely kitchen/ lounge area. I would definitely stay here again .

Been to many places all over the world and stayed in some truly excellent venues. During a recent holiday in Tasmania, we stayed in three world-class accommodation venues. This is one of them. 10/10. Can't really say anything more than that, apart from complementing the beautiful quince paste from our lovely hostess. Will certainly return.
