Worst hotel ever! This hotel is a joke. A very bad joke. If you want to waste your hard earned money and ruin your family vacation then this is the place to be, look no further. But if you want to have a nice place to stay and have a good vacation please stay away this place This ”hotel” is something left behind by a long gone era but ín 2023 it is definitely an absurd very bad joke, not a three Star hotel. The building itself is an old rundown place with very old, broken furniture, not functioning air condition and plumbing system. The air conditioner was at least 20 years old, making loud noise without any cooling effect. A real piece of junk. There was no adequate water pressure so showering was a challenge except you enjoy showering ín cold water only. But the hotel' s main ”attraction” was the restaurant. Now this is the most horrid place I have ever been. The food was terrible, impossible to eat, the portions were ridicoulosly small and the waiters were from a long gone Era As well. They were chatting all the time instead of working so we always had to wait forever to get our disgusting meal, which we couldn't eat anyway. We left the restaurant with an empty stomach on most days. All ín all Hotel San Pietro ín Letojanni should be closed forever or at least downgraded to a One-Star hotel levél. Please stay away if you want good for yourself and your family!

As usual this lovely family run hotel was very good. `the private beach is a real asset, and good sized pool, `spotlessly clean, all the staff are lovely and friendly, walk into town so easy and also so easy to get the bus practically outside hotel to Taormina. The room is slightly old, but the bed is very comfortable, the balcony has an invincible sea view, and the balcony door is open at night to listen to the waves against the moonlight to sleep very comfortable, so that you can instantly open the seaside holiday mode. The hotel and room are actually very clean, and one star is missing because there is a stain on the curtains like blood. Breakfast is quite rich compared to other local hotels. A few minutes walk from isola bella. The bus stop is at the door, and it is very convenient to go directly to other places and airports. The hotel also has a free bus to the town center, but the shifts and seats are limited. Walking is a bit dangerous because there is no sidewalk on the mountain and there is a motorway. The hotel staff is very patient and explain the problems in detail.

Hays travel were the only travel company who would bend to our needs. That was a hotel, half board for 2 weeks and then a delayed return flight of one week so we could sail around the volcanic islands north of Sicily. Lovely country Sicily, the people, if you try their lingo, they love it and help and encourage you contantly. The Hotel Caparena was chosen because it was half way between the airport and marina we sailed from. What a fabulous hotel it was too, we shall return. Quite small with plenty of staff. The premises were immaculate, the buffet breakfast suited everyones needs and the dinner was 4 courses of food that I have not experienced before, so Italian/Sicilian. The menu lasted for two nights only and then completely replaced. In the two weeks the menus were never repeated in the same order. We were the only English there which is probably why the standard was so high, full of italians so it was. Never saw a chip or french frie! Beach excellent, lifeguards too. There was a free hotel bus to the nearest town, Taomina, what a beautiful town, it made our home City of York look sad. We used the local trains as well, easy when Italian and English is spoken on the tannoy system. Great hotel, great country, well worth the visit
