Great location for the Hotel, excellent reception and cleaning staff. Pool was a little small and saltwater which took quite a few people by surprise but wasn’t a problem, it also got dirty after a storm as the mud around the pool area washed into the pool but not the hotels fault. Also no sunbed wars here in the morning as pool doesn’t open till 10am but did notice people placing towels on the beds and going to the beach for a few hours before returning in the afternoon Rooms a tad dated and the kitchen area is dark, bathroom was a nice and big though in the 2 bedroom apartment. Tv in the room only had German channels. Not much in the way of entertainment unlike the sister hotel next door and needs something like a tv in the bar area during bad weather or the evening to keep people interested.

The hotel is extremely smart and clean with comfortable beds, fluffy towels, the best breakfast buffet you have ever seen, and little nice touches that make your stay special, Friendly staff, lovely clean pool which was rather ‘refreshing’ end Sep. . The spa is a great addition and the massage was exceptionally good. Most guests appeared to be German or Spanish - very few English speakers. It was a 50 minute drive from the airport and easy to find. Nearly all rooms overlook at the sea - great view!. There are convenience shops near that stock a good selection of gifts, food and drink at reasonable prices. Beach is a bay with lounger rental €19 a day or €35 a day with a deposit box. A good location for Families and those not wanting a noisy nightlife - but it was still busy on the beach in the day. Not secluded if that’s what you are looking for. My wife and I had an opportunity to take a holiday alone and chose Son Penya based on the location, architecture of the property and privacy afforded by the ‘private villas’ which make up about 50% of the 20 rooms at this beautifully presented property. Highs of our stay: -Size, quality of furnishings, privacy and views from our ‘private villa’ (room no. 17) -The immaculate public areas including the gardens -Friendly and professional staff both in the restaurant, reception and around the hotel in general. In particular, a big ‘thank you’ to Roberto, Sonia and Barbara for their attentiveness during our stay and willingness to listen to and help me as I learn to speak Spanish. -Quality and value of food at breakfast and dinner with a good choice on the menu as well as some ‘specials’ each evening. -The spa and pool. A wide range of treatments available and reasonably priced Could be better- -The consistency of the dishes at dinner. I had the same dish twice during our stay and the presentation/flavour was far better the first time I ate it. Overall, a highly relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautifully rural and unspoilt part of Mallorca. I’d recommend having a car should you wish to explore beyond the immediate area and taking one of the larger ‘private villas’, with their own pools if you are seeking complete privacy. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Stayed here for a week with family. The hotel is situated at the quiet end of Cala Millor heading towards Sa Coma so it is a 10/15 min walk to the resort centre. And 20/30 mins to Cala Bona end. There is direct access to the beach which is rocky. The hotel is very modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As other reviews have mentioned the AC is average. We had a sea view room with balcony. No tea/coffee facilities in the room which was missed when you get up early before your food slot. We were half board and the breakfast and dinner food selections were huge and varied. There was no rush to get sunbeds in the morning. We went down around 9:30/45 and there were still loads empty. If you want to sunbath all day then you need to go top left as this area is the only one that constantly has sun and the hotel is in between to high buildings Overall a lovely experience but wouldn’t return - just personal preference to where it’s situated

very good hotel, can summarize the points below. Very good things: nice and cheerful cleaning staff, everywhere spotlessly clean areas, good and very varied food and dessert, nice and accommodating serving and kitchen staff, fresh produce and vegetables, near a very nice beach and many restaurants and cafes and grocery stores close by, shopping street which was just like the pedestrian street just outside the hotel but still quiet and nice, in some reviews it says it is close to a disco with very loud music but we noticed nothing at all, very soft and good mattresses and pillows, super good AC so you did not need to adjust the exhaust but it fanned down to the ground which then circulated and cooled down the whole room and that it was shut off automatically when opening the balcony door, very good pool with many sunbeds, unusual that there were vacant sunbeds even when going to the pool later than at 6 ... that they were not packed already then like some other hotels where you have to go up att 6 to reserve a chair by the pool. Less good things: no fridge, nothing to buy at the pool as snacks, they had only drinks and chips and ice cream, no filling of hygiene items except once on the first day at check-in. all in all a very good hotel that is highly recommended in a nice and cozy town.
