Hotel St Francis

Beautiful hotel with close proximity to the Plaza. Comfortable rooms. Very quiet and enjoyable setting.

The bedroom and bathroom were very small, the lighting in the bathroom was very dim and especially for administering makeup.There was no breakfast offered for the price and it required a trip off the property to get breakfast. Our wine tasting, adjacent to the lobby, at the Gruet Winery was exceptional. Overall the hotel possessed a lot of charm.

Beautiful place. Clean room. Very accommodating. Central location, walking distance to lots of places to eat, listen to live music and lots of history to experience.

Great location. The lobby is pretty, and on a particularly cold evening, they lit a fire in the fireplace which was cozy. Despite the good location (we walked everywhere: Railyard, restaurants, plaza galleries, etc.), I found it overpriced and resented the $97.38 "incidentals" fee upon checkout (which is mentioned in the confirmation email, but when I asked what it included, they said it was housekeeping gratuities, Wifi, and something else I can't remember...I wish I'd known that it included gratuities beforehand). The two guys who checked us in on 3/22 were kind, and the valet and housekeeping staff were friendly. The rooms are teeny tiny with the only sink at the foot of the bed (not in the WC), and musty without opening a window (which I was happy to do until it was below 30 outside). After the fee, for three nights we paid $885.63, which I have a hard time feeling good about. Overall, it was good, but not nearly $900-good, which is why I give the average rating.

Lovely history to this hotel. And having the Gruet tasting room inside is a wonderful bonus!!
