The old hotel is very old and has a long history. The lobby on the first floor is amazing, there are also nice restaurants and bars, and a bar rap performance at night. But after entering the door, I felt the smell of old carpets in the aisle and the room. Fewer sockets, small bathrooms, not modern enough.

I came to this town on a business trip and booked this hotel. This is a very nice hotel but much better suited to families than a couple looking for quiet. The rooms are set very close and surrounding the pool so there’s a lot of noise on the weekends. (I have no issue with kids - this was my lack of due diligence reading former reviews.) Also having just come from an ocean view hotel in Santa Barbara which was as nice or nicer tan this one, we feel the hotel is highly overpriced.

Love this hotel it's staff members are delightful and friendly, the rooms are immaculately clean, and very modern. I especially like that the tv included netflix and youtube built in. Another great bonus is silence. You cannot hear people in the other rooms. Definitely worth the price when in comparison to other places here in Santa Maria.

The staff was very friendly and always smiling. Unfortunately there was no towels when I got to my room. I was tired and upset but the front desk was still extremely nice and apologetic and corrected the issue. Room was your basic Motel 6. Clean but nothing exciting. No shampoo no breakfast.
