We stayed 5 nights here. The hotel is very clean. Our room had a comfortable bed, the A/C worked great and there is also a ceiling fan. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and were very patient with us with our lack of Spanish language. The included breakfast was delicious and an excellent value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet, secure stay in el centro in Santa Marta.

I arrived at the hotel 10-ish at night, so I was tired. I had submitted my credit card details through *******, so I was surprised when the reception asked me to pay before I could enter my room. I asked if I could pay in the morning as I wanted to check my bank account to make sure I wasn't withdrawn and I was tired but they refused. So, I had to take out laptop from my suitcase in the reception to check my account, then I paid directly to them.
When I went to the room finally, the pillows were extremely smelly and the towels were old and dirty. I asked for cleaner pillows but they said they didn't have any.
I left the next morning abruptly.
This hotel is NOT in the historic centre as it's quite a long walk (and dangerous at night) to go there.
