Le Merigot Santa Monica

Hotel facilities and room are very clean! The location is also good and you will reach Santa Monica beach right after leaving the hotel :)

Not a single window can open, stuffy! Room is big enough ,New decorations inside with smells! Robe is wearing not comfortable, too heavy! Breakfast is great!

We have just spent a five day stay at Le Merigot. I was a little concerned prior to the trip as I had read the reviews that the hotel is under renovation. At present, the lobby and pool area are under renovation, and they have set up a temporary reception desk. However, all the rooms are finished and we stayed in a lovely room, overlooking the ocean. There was a balcony with high top table and two chairs from which we could enjoy the view. The room was very quiet at all times and very comfortable. There was a fridge in the room and a small table with two chairs. The bathroom was newly renovated with good lighting. A temporary dining room is on the first floor as this area is also being renovated. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and attentive. We had breakfast there each day and the food was of good quality. We also had a lunch and a dinner in same area during our stay and, again, the food was very good. We ordered appetizers to our room on one occasion; also good although am I the only one who misses room service, when china and tray arrived rather than this thoroughly pedestrian new idea of bringing your food in a take out brown bag with plastic cutlery? We highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Santa Monica. The hotel is located a short block from the ocean, in a safe area. The staff are outstanding and, when the renovation is finished in June, this will undoubtably be one of the best hotels in the area.

Hotel had perfect location to Santa Monica. Stay were very friendly from front desk to Leo, Emerson,Manuel,Ricardo and Andrew! Well definitely come back and visit again especially when new pool is done renovating! Will recommend family

Great location, the service was good. Loved the new gym equipment and facility and that I had easy walking access to the beach. I especially appreciate how accommodating they were with my unique needs I had training for Denali and hauling a sled with weights to and from my hotel room every morning! 😂 Thanks Le Merigot!!!!

Overall I was really impressed with this property despite the renovations that are ongoing. The renovated rooms are tastefully done with modern touches, and they aren’t doing one of those half-done modernization renovations - when it’s done I think you will largely not know this is a new property. The staff were always friendly and saying hello, and they were responsive when our AC wasn’t working. On the down side, this property’s view of the ocean is largely obscured. The pool is closed. The restaurant is closed so they serve food in a meeting room (but food was tasty and staff was great - elites get a $20/person/day credit for breakfast which isn’t quite enough to cover an entre but close). And they charge a $15 resort fee per night despite the fact that the amenities are all unavailable! Parking is criminally expensive ($50+/night) when street and garage parking across the street is less than half. The weirdest part was that they don’t have in room coffee. When I called they promptly brought me one but it is a coffee maker you’d have at a Courtyard and which probably has never been cleaned. So bizarre and unfitting for an Autograph Collection property. I’d stay again if the price was right given the location and overall quality of the stay. Let’s hope they get some new coffee makers.

I am SO disappointed in this stay. Where do I begin . . . We showed up to this cheap looking hotel that is pretending to be designer luxury. We booked a king bed, and then were put in a bedroom with (2) queen beds. We asked to be moved to the room we selected and were placed in a room that smelled SO strong with varnish fresh paint it gave me a headache immediately. They were sold out so we had to settle for the room with 2 beds as well as a neighbor building view vs. the city view we reserved. We were also promised a complimentary breakfast and then nothing was provided. This place is a JOKE for the price. I will be disputing the charges with Travelocity, the hotel my credit card. DO NOT visit this hotel unless you are in the mood to be extremely frustrated.

While the hotel Le Merigot was not my best experience due to massive renovations, the valet parking and guest services were excellent. Valets Manny, Ricky and Emerson were friendly, kind, polite, and considerate in taking care of my family. We had numerous daily appointments, and getting my SUV in and out of valet was smooth and timely.
