We celebrated our 45th anniversary at the Oceana Santa Monica LXR Hotel by Hilton, May 21-23, 2024. A few days before we arrived, I contacted LXR and spoke to Joshua to request an upgrade to a 1 bedroom lanai suite and I spoke to Ari with questions about having a microwave in our room during our stay. (We are Hilton Diamond members, but that does not necessary guarantee the complimentary upgrade.) Joshua said that he did not think it would be a problem, of course he could not guarantee it until we check in. Well on May 18th, I received an email stating that we were upgraded to the 1bedroom lanai suite! I was very happy. This was the first time we were ever upgraded to a 1bedroom suite. The stay was outstanding! The customer service was impeccable! Lenny, the Bellman greeted and welcomed us upon arrival with a wonderful smile and great personality. He was wonderful throughout our entire stay. Giving us tips on things to do. He even offered us fresh donuts one day. Smile:) He escorted us to the front desk where Rico welcomed us and proceeded to check us in. We arrived early but Rico was able to give us a beautiful larger 1 bedroom suite that was already cleaned. They both congratulated us on anniversary. Rico said that he would have something sent to our room later that day. which they did send us a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. They were both so very kind and attentive. Once Rico checked us in, Lenny escorted us to our 1 bedroom suite and gave us some history about the property. It is a beautiful property (which by the way, look exactly as pictured on the website.) The suite was very clean! The decor of the suite was very appealing. We also met the General Manager Rigoberto during our stay. He is a very kind gentleman. He along with other front desk staff - Atiyyah and Michelle texted us to see if we needed anything to improve our stay. We had requested a microwave and some ice during our stay and Daniel promptly fulfilled our request with a smile. I wanted to mention this, because we have stayed at hotels and resorts where it take an hour or longer to receive a request. But LXR, it took maybe 10 minutes. We did have breakfast at the restaurant on property each morning of our stay . It is beautifully decorated with great food and wonderful staff. Oceana LXR Santa Monica is a beautiful boutique Luxury Hotel Resort across the the street from Santa Monica beach. It is very centrally located to the beach, pier, 3rd Street Promenade, etc. with wonderful staff and impeccable customer service. We truly enjoyed our stay at LXR and will definitely return.
