During the few days of staying, there happened to be a strike by the employees, and the strikes continued for three days and three nights. Seriously affect rest and sleep. The elevator for hotel guests has been broken for two days and has not been repaired. As a result, you have to take the freight elevator up and down, and the freight elevator is dirty and broken... Anyway, the experience of staying this time is very bad!

The hotel at 6000 yuan per night has no hot water. When I checked in, the front desk told me that the hot water system was under maintenance today, and hot water would only be available in the evening. They shut down all the main elevators for maintenance/repairs so we had to use the ONE and ONLY service elevator. It was new the dirty laundry shoot, smelled terrible, and too forever to get up or down cause there ONLY ONE! Not something you want to experience after having a good dinner then going to your room through a dirty and smelly service access hall, especially when paying $600/night

The hotel has definitely seen it’s better days. The common areas and the rooms would need a serious facelift to bring it up to today’s hotel standard’s. The room we checked in had plumbing issue’s so after the first night we could not take any showers, they promptly moved us to a different room though. The rooms are very small with small outdated bathrooms. The location of the hotel is very convenient and the view especially from rooms located on the high floors is the tower is great. The staff was very professional, friendly and accommodating. .

I’m always happy to stay at the Fairmont. Excellent service and a very convenient spot from which to explore Santa Monica. I was particularly pleased on this trip, when an upgrade was not available, I was given a $100 credit on food and drink instead. Much appreciated.

We have stayed at various Fairmont Hotels around the world and this is the worst experience so far. We booked this hotel with our ******* Gold status and had the option for a free upgrade. We understand this perk was based on availability but at check-in, the gentleman at the front desk did not even mention about this despite us having inquired about it three days ago. We also should have a food and beverage credit added for our stay which was also not brought up at all when we checked in. The room we stayed in had dust everywhere. The hairdryer had plastic peeling off. The ceiling lamp in the washroom had rust and mold. The towel in the bathroom was damp before we even used it. The bathtub drain cover was not clean and was peeling off. We are now worried about having health issues from these unsanitary fixtures and amanites. The fan from the bathroom was also not working properly (not even sure if it was even working at all) as the mirror was still fogged up after 30 minutes of taking a short shower. This is not the standard we expected after having great stays at other Fairmont Hotels. Definitely don’t recommend the Fairmont Miramar. Pick other hotels if you can.
