We were impressed with this hotel on arrival, nice common areas, parking onsite (albeit a tad expensive), good location/setting, easy checkin, clean room. But two very important things this hotel needs to get right… (1) The dinner service. They had one (very hard working) waiter doing everything, the result was a v long way even for a menu. We couldn’t blame him as he was doing his best but just couldn’t keep up. To add, the restaurant is outside in a temporary building which may be lovely in the summer but was not quite so glamorous in the rain. We were amazed the waiter had to keep going in and out (in the rain) to get drinks and food, utter madness…. Especially when there are large areas inside the main hotel not being used. We felt really sorry for this guy and as a result didn’t order starters, more drinks or desserts as it was just too painful to watch. (2) The hot water. We had none, just not good enough. We wouldn’t stay here again for the above two reasons, limited time and travelling require decent service and hot water as standard.

Correo enviado el día 7 de octubre a la Señora Directora del Gran Hotel Victoria de Santander, y que aún sigo esperando una contestacióncono mínimo por parte de la dirección: "Señora Directora del Hotel Victoria., Me dirijo a ustede con el fin de expresar nuestro profundo disgusto, malestar e indignación, con respecto a una experiencia reciente durante nuestra comida el dia 7 de octubre, en su establecimiento. Lamentablemente, la velada se vio empañada por la presencia de un grupo de aficionados al fútbol que se comportaron de manera abosolutamente inapropiada, irrespetuosa y perturbadora. Durante toda la comida, este grupo de individuos (10) demostró una falta total de respeto por otros comensales al mantener conversaciones insultantes, palabras malsonantes, blasfemias, gritos, todo fuera de tono y de lugar, sin que ninguno de sus empelados les llamara al orden o cambiara de espacio. Su conducta impresentable futbolera han impedido desde el minuto uno, tener nuestra tranquila comida, creando un ambiente incómodo y del todo inadmisible para a nosotros que, habiendo reservado una mesa para 3 personas en zona tranquila por nosotros y por nuestra madre, una señora de 91 años, hemos tenido que soportar a una gente durante hora y media sin poder hablar entre nosotros 3, porque el tono era tal, que era imposible comunic****. Es importante señalar que elegimos el Hotel Victoria con la expectativa de disfrutar de una experiencia gastronómica agradable, a lo que hemos estado acostumbrados siempre que hemos venido. Y lo más llamativo de todo: reitero que en ningún momento el Maitre o Jefe de sala, llamó la atención a este grupo, para que este comportamiento cesara. La tranquilidad y el respeto y conducta cívica hacia a los clientes y por parte de los clientes, debe ser una prioridad en su establecimiento. Agradecemos su atención y tome nota de esta queja, esperando, tanto por los clientes como por la imagen del hotel, tomen medidas pertinentes para evitar que hechos tan incómodos y contraproducentes se repitan.
