I have been to Santorini many times in the past, but I never experienced my stay there as I have done in Astarte Suites. It has been some months since I came back from Astarte Suites, and I can’t stop thinking of this every day! Our Honeymoon trip was faultless from start to finish. Our Astarte private suite with the infinity pool was super comfortable and kept immaculate, toiletries and mini bar generously replenished. We had a panoramic sea view from our room, even from our bed!, with stunning views of Caldera, Fira and Thirassia island – what a great way to start your day! Our suite had a spacious patio with Jacuzzi, huge daybed and of course the large infinity pool to cool off. The food in the Alali restaurant was excellent, varied and always well presented. There was an extensive wine selection of local and international labels. The sommelier is very knowledgeable. Compliments to the Executive Chef Adam Kodovas and the Chef Manos Regkoukos for the amazing menu – the gyozas and the octapus satay were to die for! But what is not negotiable is the breath-taking view of the Caldera and Fira during the golden hour of the famous Santorini’s sunset. The perfect light and view to capture stunning photos. We keep looking at the photos and videos we took. The staff in the resort are super friendly, professional and enthusiastic. We were amazed by the details of attention that the staff have put in us. As they knew it was our honeymoon, the brought champagne, cake and flowers to our room upon our arrival. They also went the extra mile to make restaurant reservations and transportation arrangements for us. The main thing that struck me about all the staff is that they seemed to enjoy their jobs and genuinely cared how the guests were. We will be back before too long.

Fantastic spot to stay in Santorini. The view of the caldera was a beautiful sight to start each day during our stay. The staff was friendly and catered to all of our needs and wishes. The room is very nicely decorated with a simplistic touch. 5/5 overall, definitely need to stay there when you visit Santorini!

It seems odd to describe this as a hotel, it is more akin to being in family home. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was warm & kind. It is hard to do justice to the way in which each guest is treated. I suppose I should cover the negatives.... the bed was too soft for me, and not being able to leave the air con on was a pain. The hotel is a little isolated, top of a hill with no real transport & the paths leave something to be desired. I would list this as a negative but we went for a break so this was just what we wanted. Food wise the breakfast is good, reasonably varied in range & different everyday. The resturant is booking only in the evening which is a shame as the food was excellent. Lunch menus are available until 5 & offer the option to eat by the pool. The room itself was spacious & aside from the HC noise quiet enough. The showers & bathroom in general are a little small but unless you plan on doing something more than showering in there that is not much of an issue. My last word would be the view. It is stunning, the sunset in particular. If you want peaceful break, surrounded by kind, warm people then this is the place to go.

Stayed here for one night transiting thru Santorini after staying on other islands. First stayed on Santorini 30 years ago and dismayed by over development - would not go there for a holiday now. Wanted to avoid Oia and Thira and this seemed a good option and better value for money. Other guests looked mostly liked couples / honeymooners looking somewhat bored - while we were happy to be away from the main towns this was perhaps a bit too isolated. Room was OK if a bit over the top in terms of decoration. The private cliff top pool was small, cold (in July) and ”privacy” was a low dividing wall from the next door pool that wasn't very private at all. Real let down was the food. Arrived mid afternoon to find restaurant / bar shut and not opening till 7pm. Couldn't even get a soft drink. There is one taverna across the road and that is the only thing remotely in walking distance - without a car you are a bit stranded. Fortunately the taverna turned out to be quite good. Breakfast the next morning in the now open restaurant was average at best. The views across the caldera are however very good and the main pool looked quite nice - though we didn't test it. Staff were friendly and transfers from ferry and then next day to airport were efficient. Not sure I would stay again - but was reasonable value on a very expensive island.

I booked this hotel on the 8th December 21' for my 30th birthday in June '22 because the pictures/videos were amazing and honestly most reviews were really good and the hotel seemed reputable. Just to confirm, I booked a fully refundable rate with free cancellation 21 days before arrival and only a 50% deposit was to be charged to confirm the booking. A few days after making the booking, 50% was taken as expected, however a few days after that, ANOTHER 50% of the booking was double charged. I understood that it might have been a mistake but this was the first red flag for me. I reached out to the hotel immediately to query the double charge and Anthony the manager confirmed this was a mistake on their part and that he would look into this the following morning. The following morning Anthony called me and reassured me that the double charge had been refunded and was really apologetic so I believed that this had been resolved. This was the week before Christmas! After a week or so, I still had not received the refund for the double charge so sent a number of emails throughout December but received NO response. I then sent another email on 4th Jan 2022 and finally received a response apologising for the delay and using Christmas and bank holidays to justify the lack of communication. Anthony again confirmed that the 'funds would be released by the 7th Jan' - whatever that means. As you can probably guess, the 7th Jan came and still no refund. Due to frustration I cancelled the whole booking and as per the cancellation policy should have received a full refund by now. It is now FEBRUARY 14TH 2022 and I still have not received a refund for the double charge or cancelled booking. I have now had to raise a dispute with my bank who are looking into this which can take up to 60 days and I am extremely disgusted, shocked and disappointed at the lack of urgency to refund money taken from my account without authorisation. This is definitely not a 5 star experience and I believe the hotel lacks fundamental values such as integrity. Please don't get distracted by the social media posts like I did. I definitely encourage you to avoid this hotel. It's not worth the stress at all! I wish I could rate the hotel 0.

A small hotel that boasts fantastic views. Large spaces around the pool with a pleasant dark color. White structure with thick walls, cool and soundproof. Very comfortable bed. Lighting in the room, a bit dim near the bed. Quiet environment away from cars and traffic. Cleaning is acceptable. They could be more careful to remove dust not only in the room but also around the pool with a garden pump. It is very annoying. Overall a pleasant and relaxing stay. Recommended
