St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort Reviews

This was my third time staying at the St. Regis. Eaton from check-in, was very friendly and informative about everything happening at the hotel. We traveled for a friend’s birthday so we booked the garden villa. We actually stayed in the exact same garden villa from a previous trip! Our garden villa was spacious and they provided us with a nice welcome snack and wine! Our butler Caroline, was very helpful throughout our entire stay and always made sure we had everything we needed. She was very kind and caring. Throughout the morning or day she would message to see if we needed anything or buggy service. She made sure our laundry was picked up and returned to us in a timely manner. She made sure we received a birthday cake! Our Ayi Parttime, was also very friendly and made sure to make special decorations for the birthday! Breakfast was very delicious with a wide variety of options and free flow champagne 🍾 David from Driftwood was very kind and helpful throughout our stay as well. Overall, the stay was very relaxing and I would stay again. Also, the Ocean and Sky Bar was a nice addition and provided a very relaxing environment to wind down at after a busy day at the pool! Chloe was very nice and made sure we had our drinks or anything we needed. Some things that need improving are: the garden pool villa has too many trees so there is not much exposure to the sun, the pool equipment (chairs and recliners) are out of date and need updating, the Ocean and Sky should have the band play later than 9pm on weekends (it was a great place to relax and chill with a drink but the live music stopped too soon). Besides that, I would recommend the St. Regis to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing holiday!

I had a wonderful time at St. Regis. From the moment we arrived Eton made us feel very welcome. He told us all about the hotel, the things we could do, and upgraded our room. Lucas was also extremely helpful. He made all of our reservations for us during our stay and made us feel that nothing was too much. Chloe at the Ocean and Sky Bar was also fantastic. The amenities were great, especially if relaxing is on your agenda. The pool was never too busy and there were also several spaces on the beach. Looking forward to returning!

This was my second time visiting the St. Regis Sanya, and again it didn’t disappoint. An incredible location and experience, I would recommend it to anyone. A special shout out to the staff, especially Bob and Dennis, who were friendly, professional and helpful.

St Regis hotel provides perfect service and your individual manager would help to arrange all according to your needs. I was very happy to discover that hotel offers complimentary yoga and Pilates reformes mini group classes every day for all in-house guests. You can also schedule your own private or group class for extra payment. There are a lot of activities for kids. I also like hotels spa. As for recommendation, I can suggest to offer the mattress for sunbathing bunches coz it’s not that comfortable to lay down just on the towels

Absolutely a really nice experience for my stay with st Regis sanya. The resort has all to give if you are planning for a vacation by the beach

The room was huge but a bit old. The service was not quite up to standard. The food was ok. It is not worth the price tag.

- Rooms are old school but actually well maintained, clean and very enjoyable. Good coffee machine, comfortable bed, huge bathroom and nice balcony setting - breakfast is of good quality. Not the best variety I ever experienced, but didn’t miss anything - The compound is quite well maintained and plenty walking ground around the hotel area - pool is ok, nothing special. What’s really negative, there are no pillows on the recliners. Not at the pool and also not on the beach side. If the recliners were at least comfortable without the pillows, it would be acceptable. Makes it unbearable to relax on it for longer then 20min. After complaining we got told that they no longer provide pillows, but they still have 6 beds down at a corner of the beach with cushions. Pictures provided, please consider this is a Marriott top luxury hotel brand. - we were assigned a personal care taker, Janet, who was always accessible and attentive. Very positive person - the service mentality in the hotel is very mixed. Some areas are pretty good, like in the lobby and restaurants. Some areas are very mediocre, like around the pools and bar area. Not consistent - food and drinks in the hotel facilities are overly expensive. A not well made cocktail will cost you 90rmb and a simple burger with fries 200+. Here you pay the name and not the quality. No wonder the outside delivery area is busy - location is at the end of yalong bay beach and quite a ride from the street to the hotel. We asked a service person at the lobby with a electric transportation car if he can drop us at the end of the hotel property near the main road, which he just refused. So we had to walk, which is some way in the burning sun. Which confirms the service inconsistency again. - we come to Sanya once a year to have some relaxing days and experienced many hotels on different beach locations. The ST Regis is not the price value choice I would recommend.

Amazing Experience and had a wonderful time in St.Regis Yalong. Perfect accommodations and facilities for family holidays. The resort has a wonderful private beach and a couple of fantastic pools. Our room with a lagoon pool access was also really spacious and well decorated, as expected from the St. Regis brand. Special thanks to our butler Janet. She was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate any and all requests.

We had a lovely stay at St. Regis. The main pool was very nice. The spa services were wonderful. The whole resort was very nice and comfortable.

We - a family of 3 - were looking for a quiet relaxing stay. The St Regis fulfilled our expectations and we plan to come again. - nice big rooms with a fantastic bathroom and a great ocean view. - a very good breakfast which always was the first highlight of the day ( big thank you to Bella who welcomed us wit iced Americano’s) - I recommend to book the seafood buffet direct at the beach. Very romantic and good selection of barbecued seafood and meat. A beach bar with nice view but a bit too pricey drinks complemented the days For the kids the hotel offers nice attractions I recommend the crab catching. Our daughter became a professional hunter. At the end we let the crabs go and finished the day with a cool bath in the nice central pool. Over all a nice experience and i finish with a big thank you to Janet who made my daughter happy with a delicious chocolate cake!
