The location is a bit out of the way, and nothing in the Christmas village is open. It is convenient to have a car. Mainly because the building itself has a sense of history, but in fact the hotel conditions are not considered five-star.

A very good hotel, it is a palace itself, with a beautiful environment!
But the location is slightly off, on a hill.
Great view overlooking Faro!
The hotel service is very good and the room is very big. We live on the 0th floor. There are often kittens coming outside the big balcony. They are so cute!
Clean and comfortable, it is the best hotel we have stayed in in Spain and Portugal.
breakfast is also ok!
The hotel also has two swimming pools. There is a very thoughtful children's pool that is only 50cm, which is great!

Very beautiful hotel with an even more beautiful interior, however the rooms, while spacious and comfortable don’t really reflect this. It would be nice if the rooms had a similar look to rest of the hotel.
Very good food and even better service. The receptionist was nice enough not to charge me for things I took for the minibar.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds and building, spent a few hours wandering the public gardens and the private grounds, the house and enjoying the pool. Fantastic services, delicious breakfast, lovely front of house staff. Would recommend eating dinner in the village, I enjoyed delicious dourada and wine for 10 euro at O Belo Sol. Taxi from the palace to the airport is 20 euro and takes 20 mins.

This pousada should not really need a write up, as it is perfect as is, and probably one of the most beautiful and well run Pousadas in Portugal. Professional and friendly staff, exquisite restaurant on an outdoor terrace with a view of Faro and the Algarve coast. Quaint little town to visit, and nearby all other small towns like Tavira, Olmao and others. Highly recommended. Stay more than one night to enjoy it all!

We received a lovely welcome on our visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was top quality whilst at the same time being value for money. There was a wide variety of choices on the breakfast menu, both hot and cold. The ornate rooms and facilities are great, but what makes it special is the warmth of all the staff, creating a very pleasant environment. We will be back next year!
