Forest Escapes Koyna

The restaurant manager Sujit was really hospitable and he was really good in his service. We enjoyed the food and it was a good experience. The atmosphere was really picturesque. All the staff of the Kokum restaurant very really nice and attentive.

The property is amazing. The location is the highlight. As the name mentions - forest escapes, it is very near to the forest/jungle and hence you will find many birds of different species in and around the hotel premises. They also have complimentary indoor activities such as night walk, morning nature walk, farm visits, etc. ***** with that, they have a set of paid outdoor activities too - morning trek, night trek, jungle safari, bird watching, etc. The rooms are very clean and spacious than any other hotels. The food was good but on a expensive side. Overall it was a very memorable experience and i recommend this to everyone who wants to plan a short weekend trip ***** with friends and family.

We had a two day family stay. The resort is in the sahyadri ghats nestled in a dense forest and biggest water body in maharashtra, the koyna dam and it’s backwater only 5 kms away, the resort has lovely villas and large rooms that are clean and well located. What i liked was the cobbled pathways made out of local red late-rite stone with great natural landscaping. The restaurant and the bar is also a semi terrace overseeing the dense forest valley that allows you to have a direct interaction with the squirrels and birds vying for your attention (you may feed them. The food is great and the service is impeccable. The koyna backwater and the surrounding forest trails are a major attraction including a a massive garden which offers a great top view of the dam and the reservoir. One small misgiving i would like to mention is that the car park is away from the villas and the walk over slope terrain may be difficult for senior citizens. We loved our experience and likely to visit again, need i say anything more?
