Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa

My partner of 7 years and I went to Koro Sun for a holiday and spent 8 nights there, we booked the edgewater Bure and it did not disappoint. Beautiful scenery, big comfy bed and all the amenities. Every day they would provide us with the daily activities sheet where some activities were on site and others we would pre-book with reception which made organising our day really simple. The food was outstanding and the staff were incredible. So helpful and all looked like they loved their jobs! We were lucky enough to have stayed the whole week to enjoy activities such as the managers cocktail night and fire dance on the Friday which the lovely general manager of the resort joins you for and then a traditional Fijian buffet with kava ceremony. It was a beautiful holiday, will definitely be recommending!

The worst experience ever.... People really need to read the google reviews and see what people say about this resort because it is all true. We had all our money stolen from our safe (OZ Dollars and Fijian Dollars) on our second night at the resort. Wayne the Manager was shocking in the way he handled the situation, never apologised to us when he first found out, only tried to tell us that they had a similar incident at the resort 2 weeks prior. We had a second lot of money stolen on our fourth night (Fijian coins), it became a bit laughable at this stage. Then if that wasnt enough they stole my husbands Air Pods on our last night stay. The only people who supposedly have a key to the room are the housekeepers. It is utterly disgraceful as we are on a private island and guest should feel that there belongings are safe and not have to carry your things around with you wherever you go. The food was deplorable did not matter where you ate and the drinks are so expensive. You would be best to buy your alcohol at duty free at Nadi airport. What they charge you for 3 Gin and Tonics, you can buy 3 bottles for the equivalent. Resort is run down and needs some serious work. Overall experience was so disappointing and we would never return to Fiji ever again. Such a shame that this all happened as infortunately word of mouth is so vital in business these days.

Had a great start of our experience with Melaia, our booking agent and Sam our Fleet manager. Both were effective, personable, and got us to the resort in a great experience. Melania was helpful, kind, and responded to our requests immediately. Sam arrived on time to pick us up, showed us great features of SavuSavu whilst driving us in. Great jobs!!!

Resort comes with complimentary activities. ANDREW was helpful in setting up a coconut demonstration and basket weaving. ANDREW was informative, knowledgeable, and answered all our random questions. He was personable and made the experience great! ANA from the restaurant was always there to help. Very energetic and helpful. Made the experience in our dining fun and pleasant. Pros - friendly staff - General Manager on site - Nice selection of activities/reasonably priced - Chill vibe - Quiet - Sustainability…use of every part of what is grown on the land Cons - multiple water leaks in downstairs bathroom from upstairs bathroom, a/c units leaking water onto the bed in upstairs bedroom, multiple water leaks around doorframe leading to the bay - Termite residue on the leather furniture - Large pieces of wood teathered to the pole of the bure next door - Drinks are watered down - Staff wearing multiple hats and serving in areas that they are not necessarily suited for. - Very slippery walkways with only old worn 8x8 rugs at entrance into main dining room - Inconsistent food portion sizes - Bath towels worn and rough I did not list pros or cons that are a product of the area, ie huge cockroaches in the room (critters should be expected) or amazing views (Fiji is a beautiful place no matter where you stay). Stayed 7 nights at Koro Sun Resort. Arrived during breakfast. Ordered from the limited menu provided. The portion was very small. Lunch portion was huge and I felt wasteful because I couldn’t eat it all. Same with dinner. The next day, lunch was super small, and dinner was huge. I couldn’t figure out a pattern as to why the food portions varied so much. Walkways have decorative stone. While pretty to look at, they are super slippery. There are ‘slippery when wet’ signs posted, however it would be more helpful to have slip resistant strips, mats or some other non slip surface considering most guests are wearing lounging shoes that may not have tread (ie flip flops)

Such comfortable beds and pillows one of the best of all the places I stayed at. All staff are also naturally friendly and accommodating. The Rainforest Spa is a must so, so peaceful with the natural stream gentle flow, had a really good full body scrub and massage. Seafood platter so huge and worth it.
