Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chicago Schaumburg

We visit Schaumburg several times a year for mini-vacations. We have stayed at many of the hotels in the area, and this was our first time staying at a Fairfield Inn. We will definitely be coming here again. The kids voted this our new favorite. They really liked the pool. The breakfast buffet was really well put together and fully stocked (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc...). The last two times we were in Schaumburg we stayed at the Holiday Inn near Medieval Times (used to be a Radisson), since that is one of the main things we come to do (and the kids like being able to see it out their window). For the same price point though (technically Fairfield was cheaper), I'd prefer this hotel over almost all others in the area we've stayed at. I personally appreciated some of the ”little” things, such as actually having a shower curtain (many hotels seem to be going to the open glass concept, which is ridiculous). The beds were very comfortable, and I love that they actually use fitted sheets (even some higher-end hotels we've stayed at used flat sheets all around). The television was great and we were able to connect our Netflix account without a problem, and they also had free Showtime. The free wi-fi was free, but next time we'll probably try the paid wi-fi since it was very slow compared to other hotels' free service (we were unable to play even the most basic online games on our laptop or tablet, or even download small updates). Other than that, highly recommend this place and we will be returning soon.
