Nice, modern hotel from the outside with plenty of parking. Parking is charged at £7 per night. Check in was a bit slow and two self serve check in terminals unavailable but didnt take too long. Room was large and typically set out to Premier Inn model. A litte more attention to cleaning in the bathroom wouldnt go a miss but nothing too serious. Staff were all friendly but thats where this good review stops. Thyme Restaurant - Avoid at all cost if you can. We went for opening time 6pm as we had to be out by 6.40pm. A simple festive burger with turkey and chips - 10 mins or so to prepare and cook, well it arrived at 6.30 burger was stone cold as was the sausage and bacon. The chips were the only hot item and the only thing we really ate - we did complain and the meal was complimented. The staff must remember that they are in an open kitchen as we clearly heard the lady say she had forgot to cook the buger (with the rest of the burger sitting under the hot lamp) at 6.15pm and they then rushed to cook it, so not sure why it was still cold when we got it :( Breakwast was similar - we went down at 7.45 and think we were the first ones (opens at 7am), the food was stone cold, the toaster wasnt even plugged in but the coffee was nice as was the juice, the food was edible just cold. The bar closes at 9, we didnt arrive back until after but there is a nice bar and restaurant called the old picture house a few mins walk away from the hotel which was lovely. Tesco superstore is right next to the hotel with a Costa inside.

Room and staff 8/10 as per, though some lack of training and experience was evident once the restaurant got busy. Room was excellent as usual, only gripe was the cheap, lukewarm sausages served with breakfast. Premium? I think not. I need another ten characters, so there we go. We’ll be back!

Simply the worst stay in a Premier Inn. Skeleton staff upon arrival, just 2 people. Someone made the decision that their Christmas party was far more important than the motel. The 2 staff had been in their job rolls approximately 1-3 days. This meant check-in was (NOT) entertaining. It was lengthy and arduous. Not that I blame the lovely staff member who was still trying to learn systems and had no one for help. The bar was not open and set up at 1615, and the other new member could not find anything. Again, I could not blame her she did the best she could. The 2 girls' efforts were the only decent thing about the stay, which was a joke. Th bar wow! There was next to no stock behind the bar. In all the years my family and I have used premier Inn, I have never seen a bar open at past 4 pm on any day, let alone Friday! And on a Friday over (especially) Christmas, i have never been told that the bar shuts at 9 pm and then by a completely different member of staff 10pm. This is a premier Inn that we have stayed at and was never told this before! Or been told this conflicting information. I have also never been to a premier Inn where multiple drunk staff are wondering about the premises and being asses. And other people we assumed (only because they were with the drunk off duty staff). where staff off duty walked freely around the place. In and out the kitchen. Behind the bar. Not in uniform. I also found it staggering the bar was told to us to be closed at 9pm or 10 pm depending on who was spinning the story. But the shutdown of the bar and its shutters was not done until it was gone midnight. As a member of hospitality for many years, I can honestly say the place was not dirty, but it was a total s### show. The were annoyances about the room. But they were minor compared to the public areas. Room: No toilet brush that really annoys me, but I get annoyed every time as that's normal. I think someone was in a rush. And left things looking sloppy. But I reiterate, this was minor.

I always stay at Premier inns where possible so I was very pleased to find this one for an essential visit. I always feel comfortable and can count on decent levels of service and facilities. This was a fairly small one but after an 11 hour drive I was very happy to arrive. As usual I immediately felt relaxed and 'at home'.

I have stayed at this Premier Inn many times, at least 8 occasions from memory and after reading a couple of negative reports was a little nervous of what to expect. About a week before we stayed I emailed the hotel requesting a certain room and on arrival was pleased to be given that exact room, many thanks. The room was comfortable and the staff, at least 4 or 5 I remember from last time and it was nice to talk to them again. We opted for the meal deal which for two nights is good value. In summary yet another lovely stay as a base for me to visit my sister in Sidmouth. Thanks to Renatta and Sarah. Simon and Dawn

Great staff, really friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean, didn’t get any noise. Heating and AirCon worked well. Lovely meal in Thyme, very good value as part of meal deal. Easy to walk into Seaton, looking festive ready for Christmas.

We wish to thank Nathan and his colleagues very much for their kindness and support last week when the weather was so treacherous. We were really impressed with the hotel, its cleanliness and warm friendly staff. We look forward to returning in the spring.

- Unhygienic, The sheets had stains all over them, the whole room was full of dust, the spoons were dirty, the mugs hadn't been washed and you could still smell the last drink in them, the shower had hair all over the tap and the cot had stains and holes all over the netting. - Unprofessional, Housekeeping left the trolleys in the hallway blocking the rooms, and when I asked for help to move them, the lady didn't help and just stared at me, struggling to push my pram past while my child was crying. - Lack of facilities, I requested a cot and there wasn't one when I got to the room, so I went to ring down to reception only to find there was no phone so rang reception using my mobile only to find the number was not in service. Premier Inns website stated the cots were suitable for 0-2 years, but it was only suitable for a toddler as the mattress couldn't be highered from off the floor.

Was told when 5 minutes away my room was cancelled and would need to go to another hotel 20 minutes away, explain I had booked this months ago then the manager was put on phone and then it got interesting!!, so I arrived to be greeted by the manager at the desk who looked very shocked to see me but the started to make excuses as to her behaviour and thought comping my parking £14 would excuse her actions. I have stayed in many Prem Inns and by far the worst and it seems that the staff just followed the managers leed as we sat in the bar with other customers listening to other staff arguing and slagging off other staff members. Stay away from this one !!

For somewhere that opened fairly recently this is a depressing place. £7 to park is a complete rip off. Booking in automatic terminals both out of order. Reception was ok, had to apologise for the restaurant being out of order as they’d had a flood. Had room on second floor. First impression wasn’t bad, but on closer inspection the carpet was dirty, the toilet was unclean and there were no windows that opened. Room was cold when we arrived but warmed up after turning on the heating. Then was far too hot during the night. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Extractor fan in bathroom didn’t work, so room quickly became humid and clammy after showering. Only positive was that it was cheap. Informed reception of faults the next morning, got a grunted apology.

Nice room, good breakfast. The young lady who checked us in on Sunday evening (03/11/2024) was really helpful, friendly and answered all of our questions. She's the reason we put 4 stars instead of three. She printed out a list of local restaurants with phone numbers. However, an older member of staff (working behind the bar) had a bad attitude and spoke to the lady at reception in a completely inappropriate way and berated her over a small miscommunication. This was shocking to observe and made us concerned for the well being of the young lady at reception. She handled it well and apologised for the interruption.

Your average Premier Inn. Friendly staff but not enough at times, not helped by both self check-in terminals being out of order. Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Good breakfast but restaurant not really big enough when hotel is busy. Location not great, car park on one side, busy road and non-descript houses on other where you can just glimpse the sea (not the seafront or beach). We simply used it as a base for Lyme Regis. Biggest complaint was the ridiculous £7 daily charge for parking. I believe car park is not owned by Premier Inn, which is bizarre given that it appears to have no other use than for hotel guests parking.

I’ve never been to Seaton before and although it is a small town it is ideally located along the East Devon Jurassic coastline. The Premier Inn in Seaton is easy to find and located very close to the sea front and shopping area. There’s ample parking and it’s very well priced (£7.00 per day). I am a fan of Premier Inns and this one did not disappoint. Staff were hard working, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and well equipped. In advance I’d booked a breakfast for both of the mornings i was there. Again in my opinion excellent value for money with a variety of both hot and cold food selections. It’s help yourself so you can eat as much or as little as you want. On reflection I regret not eating in the restaurant on at least one of the nights of my stay. There’s not a huge amount of pubs/restaurants open in Seaton during the quiet season and the evening menu at the Premier Inn looked very appealing (and again very economical). Overall this was a very enjoyable weekend break and I cannot fault any aspect of the accommodation,

Visiting family as usual, and new staff again it seems. Wasn't sure whether to say 4 or 5 star but I have to give credit where due. Seem to change staff alot, and it was a very busy half-term, but Lisa and Nathan were amazing. TIP. Get some more staff Whitbread, they were run ragged but the staff made our day.
