Seattle Marriott Waterfront

Down the hill from downtown Seattle so expect a walk/uber in to the city if you’re going that way. Also no fan in bathroom which kind of ****** and the TV wasn’t working. Otherwise, next to the water which was really nice. ALSO $100 a night deposit for up to $500 for 5 nights+ so be aware.

Where to begin? Having booked a partial ocean view, we also got a partial what looked like a dump or landfill view. See photos. An extra bonus was that the hotel is right adjacent to the rail road tracks that are quite active. The trains go frequently, and they run all night. This occurred 3 nights in a row, so not an anomaly. We requested an additional luggage rack at check in. After 4 more requests, it showed up 24 hours later. Overall, the staff seem to have minimal or little training in the hospitality industry. Not a lot of follow through or attention to customer service. We were notified ed at check in there is a new $25/dollar per room “fee”. It cannot be considered a resort fee, as this is far from a resort. But, for that fee you’ll get a candy bar and bottle of water in a brown paper sack. Apparently this fee also lets you use the workout faculty add pool. This are normally included in the cost of a room. Not really sure what the “ fee” is for. We had different explanations from each staff member. As the hotel is directly in front of the cruise line terminal, the restaurant and lobby area are completely overrun when the ships arrive early in the morning. Also, on three weekend the Club/ Lounge is open, but there is nothing put out, leaving you reliant on the Restaurant that just had a cruise ship empty into it. I’

This Marriott hotel was is conveniently located near Pike Place, Aquarium, waterfront, etc. The hotel has a nice appearance and a friendly staff. We found our room, however, although comfortable with amenities that met our needs was very noisy when the heating/air conditioning system was running. The hotel has a small self serve area to purchase snacks and drinks. Prepare yourself for sticker shock if you enter.

The property is very conveniently located on the waterfront, with Pike’s Place Market, Seattle ferris wheel, Lumen Field and many restaurants and bars in walking distance from the hotel. You can also go for an easy flat 3 mile jog on the waterfront right when you walk out from the hotel. For extremely affordable airport transportation, you can take the Link for $3 from the airport to Westlake and then can walk to the hotel from the Westlake station. Unfortunately, the Link was down when we were in Seattle so we had to use rideshare and taxi services for airport transportation which will run you $45 for a taxi and $55-85 for rideshare services.

Check in person and checkout person were rude and not very friendly. Best customer service part were the valet guys; they were fantastic.

Great location, easy to walk anywhere. We loved the heated indoor/outdoor pool. The front desk upgraded us to a balcony room with an incredible view (at no cost)! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Family stayed in rooms 640 and 642 And the AC (condenser, I am assuming )makes a loud sound like a freight train on/off 24/hrs non stop. It's loud and then soft, humming , whirling if a motor. It sounds like a freight train driving right through your room. If a good night's sleep is important to you, do not stay in this hotel in these rooms. I don't know if the sound is particular to these rooms or all. I AM dumbfounded that management or employees have not brought this matter up the chain. I am writing this 258am, as the sound is booming in my room.
