Very nice. Comfortable

Beautiful hotel, excellent location. Sunday farmer’s market right outside the front door. Lots to see in the surrounding area. We will be back. Highly recommend it!

Nice amenities. Clean!

Sometimes you book a hotel and you are pleasantly surprised because it is nicer then how it came across on the web. This is not the case. This place is pretty dumpy. The rooms are stuffy, the old Mitsubishi AC on the ceiling is old and noisy, the bathrooms are outdated, there is no one to greet you and help you with you luggage, there is only one person at the front desk so be ready to wait in line to check in, This place is pretending to be more than what it is and is charging accordingly. I would call this a motel and lower customers expectation by being a bit more honest about the rooms, especially the bathrooms. Disappointing.

My stay at Hotel Ballard was absolutely delightful! The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The hotel's convenient location near the conference center was an added bonus. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.

All of the staff were extremely responsive and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. I would recommend this hotel for any stay in the Ballard area. A very convenient location with ability to walk to everything in Ballard.

We were in town to vote in the Finnish presidential elections and reserved a room at the closest hotel to the Nordic Museum we could find. Coincidentally we found our new favorite place to stay in Seattle! The cleanliness of the entire hotel was most satisfying and the Northern European influence in the details was obvious. If for nothing else, choose to stay at the Hotel Ballard to experience their sheets and showers! 10/10 would recommend

I recently stayed at the Hotel Ballard with my 4-year-old (it was initially meant to be a solo "staycation", but childcare fell through!). Check-in was easy; the gentleman helping wasn't exactly warm or welcoming, but we were checking in just after 9pm so I chalked it up to a long day. Room was elegant and clean. Location cannot be beat - Ballard is one of our favorite neighborhoods, and we relished in being able to walk to some of our favorite shops and restaurants. I was concerned about the noise, knowing how loud it can be in that area at night. but it was not an issue for us! The most disappointing part of our stay is that the alarm clock went off at 5:00 AM; I am guessing the previous guest set it? I am a pretty light sleeper, so was unable to go back to sleep after this. I brought it up with the front desk, who apologized and provided a marginal discount. They said that we were not the first person that this happened to that day; I feel like that this is a sign they should be checking this more thoroughly and/or informing guests to look out for this themselves? Not enough to keep me from booking another stay here, but considering how much we payed and the inconsistent hospitality, the stay overall left a bad taste in my mouth. Be aware that you'll be responsible for transporting your bags to and from the parking garage (which is very "Seattle", in that it is a bit cramped with tight corners).
