We took a squad of 30 kids on their first cross border rugby tour and Kailee and the team were outstanding. We booked out the hotel for 60 people between adults and kids and nothing was a bother. The hotel provided a set menu for lunch and dinner which was very tasty. Kailee also organised a silent disco which went down an absolute treat for not just the kids but also the parents. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were polite, courteous and helpful. The hotel is an ideal choice if you are visiting Melrose or playing at Melrose RFC with ample parking facilities at the rear of the hotel. Great hotel with exceptional staff. Our U8s squad loved tucking into a full Scottish breakie with haggis before their all important fixture. Hope to be back.

3x blokes, road cycling trip across Scotland. September 2023. Fantastic hotel, and exceptionally good value. Location is brilliant, lovely ride in along the marked Scottish C2C route, the hotel is right on the route so no detours. Staff excellent and friendly from start-to-finish. Checked our 3 bikes into the self-service secure storage. Enjoyed a great (well earned) 3 course dinner in the hotel restaurant, which had a great a**osphere and as mentioned, lovely staff. (There is also a great brewery tap next door if you fancy a change of scenery - we didn't manage to get further than that in the village!) Breakfast served early, first-class traditional Scottish - but plenty of other options. Unlimited coffee and juice, we were really happy. Rooms are good for the price, simple ”pub with rooms” style, remember. Everything needed for a stay of this type. It was very hot, but I still slept well. Highly recommended, we'd stay at Traquair Arms again without hesitation.
