📍 Linglie Rd, Selkirk
★★★★ 8.6 (57 reviews)

"Nice location and easy to get to, had a nice pint with the owner Adrian when coming back in from a night out at a friends party. Nice to hear about the buildings history. Only little constructive criticism is that the room was a little too hot, had to open windows, maybe it was just cause we were on top floor, but other then that brilliant stay would definitely return"

The Glen Guesthouse

The Glen Guesthouse

📍 Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk
★★★ 8.9 (38 reviews)

"Admit having had a heart sink when I saw my employers had booked me into a guesthouse in an old building. In Scotland this usually means a creaking dusty thing with tattered carpets and a welcome from staff as frosty as the room temperature. ( See Royal Dunkeld Hotel for details. Still screaming internally.) So what a delight instead to be met by a lovely man who checked me in with zero fuss, to a scrupulously clean and cosy room, utterly tranquil, and fully equipped with everything you need , including super fast WiFi. A preordered breakfast was all set out and ready in the morning and elegantly served by the same man in a fetching apron. Was a delight and can really recommend to anyone travelling in the Scottish Borders. Genuine hospitality. Bravo."

The Gordon Arms Restaurant with Rooms

The Gordon Arms Restaurant with Rooms

📍 Yarrow Valley, Selkirk
★★★ 9.4 (6 reviews)

"Absolutely lovely place for our Anniversary weekend. If you’re a foodie like we are, it’s a must. This historic inn dating from 1750 is in the beautiful Yarrow valley, between Selkirk & Peebles in the Scottish Borders . The rooms are comfortable, cosy & so quiet. Looking out over the surrounding green fields whilst the swallows wheeled around the rooftops was magical. With a choice of Tasting menu or a la carte, the quality & presentation of the food is excellent. Breakfast in the morning was just right with perfect scrambled egg The team at the Gordon Arms is so friendly - we felt at home right away."

The County Hotel ★★★
"We visited the County Hotel for an evening meal, and joined in with the regular pub quiz. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious, and we all found our favourites in an excellent menu. Food and drink was very well priced. The quiz was great fun with visitors and locals joining in. A great evening!"

Philipburn Hotel, BW Signature Collection ★★★★
"We stayed here for just one night as part of a road trip, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our journey. The place was clean, tidy, and incredibly welcoming. The staff went above and beyond - from letting us hose down our cars after a long drive, to surprising me with candles in a cake for my birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really made the stay special. The homemade food was delicious, and the scenery surrounding the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Most of all, the staff were amazing!Super friendly, helpful, and full of genuine warmth. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly place to stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer!"

The Glen Guesthouse ★★★
"Stayed at the Glen Hotel with my 2 teenage children. The triple family room was spacious and the beds very comfortable, a double and 2 singles. The bedding was excellent and just what we needed after a very strenuous day. The shower room is compact but the water hot and plentiful. The in room refreshments were generous with biscuits for all and enough hot chocolate not to cause a dispute. The breakfast was excellent. Requests made the night before meant the table was laid with the juices and drinks we wanted and the best cooked breakfast I have enjoyed in a long time arrived promptly. We needed to leave at a specific time and the owners made sure there was no delay over breakfast. I stay in a lot of hotels around the country for my children's sporting events and The Glen Hotel was a lovely retreat to recharge for the next days competition and leave with a really lovely breakfast inside us. Thank you"
