Semporna Hotels with Bars

Good location near the Seafest jetty. Decent hotel with decent sized rooms. Nice sunset view from the room window. However, the rooms are quite old and the air conditioner is not cold at all. Otherwise the shower water pressure is great. The breakfast buffet has limited options and the food is below average. The egg counter gives pre-cooked eggs instead of made-to-order

At 7pm check, we checked in to the Dragon Inn Floting Inn,Semporna, and chose an up-grade to larger Suite.. The end of pier was suggested being the ”quietest”. Cost quoted 780 Ringitts. But disconted to 640 Ringitts. I assumed the lovely Heritage room, spacious, clean, glowing wood, would be matched with a suitable bath room. No. A] Ony a dribble from the tap. B] No working shower...at all. C] Toilet flushed..once. D] Music from the Night market across a narrow waterway, meant noise didnt stop till 1am. E] At 7a.m. the noise of zooing outbards of many motor boats, was our , wake up call. I requested a significant discount for the sleepless night and inconvenience. Our jouney from Australia was 28 hours. Only 10% was offered. I do not recoomend this property for the above reasons. Positive aspect. At 8.30 pm Reception did call the Plumber. What in the world could he accomplish ? An alternative room was offered for use for a shower and toilet, grossly inconvenient at 4 a.m. when required. Breakfast included was a bowl of noodle/ or was it rice. At this price range? It did not have any standard for tourist accommadation.

Environment: The whole resort is very nicely decorated, and it is more cost-effective than the water house. Hygiene: The staff will do a good job of insect repellent. Although the weather is hot, there is basically no need for mosquito repellent lamps in the room. Service: The housekeeper will confirm our needs to go back and forth to the town every day, and he is very serious and responsible. The puppies in the resort are also very cute. The housekeeper said that they were originally wild, but now that they live here, the staff will help take care of them. The puppies are very friendly. They will lead the way when we return to the room at night. The staff are also very caring ❤️

I didn’t really stay at this hotel but paid a visit when I was in town. The staff there were very friendly and showed me a couple of rooms as I requested. It is definitely in better condition than the Inn2 I stayed in. It is the newest among the three Sipadan Inns, at a better location, especially if you go to Mabul with Scuba Junkie, very close to their office and their jetty. Thought to let travelers know as I didn’t see any comment when booking hotels in Semporna. It is a tiny seafront town, everything close by but those narrow, car-lined streets are not that easy to walk through if you carry luggage on a hot day.

This homestay is an independent cabin with a swimming pool in the yard, which is very beautiful. The owner is Chinese and can speak Chinese. The communication is very smooth and considerate. It is a little far from Semporna town. If you want to go there, the owner will send a driver to pick you up. You can also make reservations to the airport or the pier, which is very convenient. Breakfast is a simple meal, all freshly made. It is relatively fresh and good. You can consult the owner if you have any questions in Semporna. He is super nice and has adopted a kitten. It is a very pleasant accommodation experience. Because the environment is relatively primitive, there will be many mosquitoes and small animals. It is normal to appear in the house. Bring mosquito repellents to be more comfortable. I hope the boss's business will be prosperous!

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Very kind staff who are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We are grateful to Eric, Gordon, Amsyar, Lisa and all the Sea Star Resort staff. We will be back! It was just awesome and so family-like i never experienced it before while traveling. The Host Tony and his Wife June provide several Tours and also Snorkeling and Diving and both speak very good english and chinese. His Wife is local and speaks perfect Malay too. So she knows a lot of people around Borneo and is always finding solutions for your travel in any price range you wish. The rooms have western standard and are very clean, with Aircon sometimes even a projector, provide shampoo, towels and that for an awesome price. The staff is also very friendly and helps you out with your everyday needs. The diving equipment you can borrow here was in very good condition. Tony is an experienced diveinstructer, who knows where to go and when. We did some dives with several companies wich they booked for us. So we could dive last minute in Sipadan, Mabul, Pom Pom and other Islands in just 3 days. From the guesthous it s just 2 minutes to the Jetty where all the Divingboats departure. Even doing the Advanced Open water Course was possible last minute After diving you can relax and take a Spa Treatment, soak your feet or get a massage right next door in June's Spa.... and again for an awesome price. The Beautysalon is very nice and comfortable. From the balcony on the frontside of the building you can even see the sea and one of the bigger islands where you can also take a hike on the mountain there with breathtaking view!

Its approximately 5 mins drive from Semporna town centre to The Firefly Resort , which is nestled in an oil palm estate, there are plenty of carparks beside the Resort Main Reception building. Check in was a breeze by the front desk cheerful lady, after that the staff help to take our luggage leading us to our chalet. C01 King size bedroom is cosy and spacious, has all the basic amenities with very fast speed wireless internet services. Best of it all, the room is equipped with 2 wall charger ports for mobile phones on both night tables, travellers need not worry if they have forgotten to bring their own. Chalets are well laid out within the landscape surrounded by bird ferns, wild ginger plants and many others. It is a place conducive for good rest, refreshing, rejuvenation and retreat with back to the nature forestry environment, listening to birds chirping, tree squiirrels running and especially you would get to pass by a friendly talking Myna bird that greets you with “sudah makan” & “good morning”. The Reception Area leads into a bar counter with karaoke system, dining area and a lounge where food & beverage is served. It is very cosy and cool under the the high double volume roof complete with big “helicopter fan “ , rustic log sawn timber furniture, and comfortable sofa at the Afresco area . There is a corner for barbecue too. Local Malaysian breakfast spread is good, seafood dinner is exceptionally cooked, deliciously prepared and presented. Complement to the excellent culinary skill of the resident Chef Lim. If you are looking for relaxation ,rest and a place to be pampered , The Firefly Resort Semporna is well recommended !!

The water house is about 20 minutes away from the town. After arriving, there will be special water house staff to help carry luggage and check in. There is a store manager sister who can speak Chinese. She is super nice, so the baby who doesn't speak the language can rest assured. Because the water house has just opened not long ago, the entire facility is relatively new. There is no problem with the sanitary environment. There are 4 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. The taste of the food is more domestic, so you won't be uncomfortable. You can see the clear sea every day when you wake up. It's very quiet and comfortable, which makes people especially relaxed! It really exceeded expectations!

This B&B has just opened for a short time. I was a little hesitant before booking because there were no reviews for reference. I didn't expect it to be so good. The store is actually the same as the picture. The hygiene, environment, and facilities are not to be mentioned. I am very satisfied. I especially want to mention the owner of the store. He is very nice and basically responds to any requests. It takes about 10 minutes to drive from the town, but you can pick up and drop off whenever you want to go to the town. It is recommended to buy seafood in the seafood market and process it here. The fee is affordable. I heard that the processing fee outside is almost as expensive as seafood. I won't say much, just look at the pictures, real shots.
