I have visited Turkey 3 times now, the last 2 times to different places but due to the pandemic they were closed so I selected the IQ Belek as it was all inclusive and as a solo female traveller it's generally better to be in this style resort. I arrived late at night, staff are in reception 24 7 so there was no issues. Lots of staff speak some English which was fabulous. I never expect anyone outside of England to speak English so this was a bonus. I was shown to my room and shown how to use my key card and the Aircon, which was a definite plus! It's an absolute essential, it's effective and nice and quiet too. The room, large real king-size bed, not twins stuck together. Lovely clean bedding and firm pillows. As is the tradition, there were thick cotton weaved blankets, trust me you don't need anything more, it's warm enough no duvet is required and once you find your ideal Aircon setting it's more than adequate. Bed was very comfortable and the curtains nice and thick so no light leaks. There is a mini fridge in the room and water is put in it every day for you. I selected what was described as a double for solo use, it was well sized with a little balcony that looked out over the amusement park behind. The bathroom was good, shower has a main shower head overhead and a shower attachment too. Ideal if you don't want a full on soaking. Toiletries provided in the room included soap, shower cap, shampoo conditioner and shower gel. Plenty of towels, 2 large bathsheets, 2 lare hand/hair towels and 2 smaller hand towels and slippers in a netted bag for use too. I was given a towel card, this is exchanged at the spa for a large blue beach/ pool towel. You can change them as you wish in the spa so if you want a fresh towel you just go to the spa and swap it for a clean towel. I visited the spa twice while I was there. Once for a Turkish foam massage and face massage and then again for a face shoulder massage and foot massage. Definitely an experience!! I slept like a log afterwards and my skin squeaked I was so clean! The cleaning staff visit every day and empty the bins and replenish any toiletries and remake your bed and give the room a sweep and wipe through. If you leave towels on the floor they are replaced. The room was fully cleaned a few times which on top of regular daily visits I think is more than enough. They visit around 11-1 each day. The restaurant exceeded my expectations. I visited out of season but it still provided a full service each meal time. Due to covid staff fill your plates for you with your selections. Breakfast has a mix of hot foods, some days including scrambled eggs, toasties, sausage mix, and then cold platters of cheeses meats and breads along with cereals and fruit. Lunch had a selection of around 6 hot dishes with accompanying rice and pasta and potato dishes, a full salad bar with dips and oils and sauces, fruits and then the most amazing cake bar I've ever seen. Booked a hotel for 4 days while in Istanbul. Upon arrival at 6 pm, with a huge smile, I was given a room on the 1st floor with a wildly humming oversized air conditioner at the level of the balcony. Just a nightmare. With my polite refusal, they showed me another room, in another place, also on the 1st floor. Also without a view, which I personally do not need. But what a musty, vile smell it was in it .. Again, he refused. The third room was both smelly and with the same air conditioning, 2 in 1. The reception is trying to explain that the hotel is completely full, it's a real overbooking. I'm angry. I had to spend the night in a room at least without noise, writing to Trip.com. The next day I received a more or less acceptable room, albeit without a view, thanks to the support. Hotel food 4+. You won't leave hungry, but the choice is not like the cool five. The waiters are polite, some of the countries of the former CIS, mostly friendly. They also make guzleme in the morning, in the evening they roast meat on the street, well, nothing like that. The pools are ok, the sunbeds by the pool and on the beach are also good. I won’t say about children’s animation, there is volleyball, animation by the pool is rather weak, but few people need it and it’s not so important. There is ice cream, but it is very unobtrusive, it is difficult to find it, not in sight, and the ice cream man 15 minutes before the “lights out” can lie that it is over. The gym is average, but you can keep fit who knows the features of multifunctional simulators. Outside the gate, there is nowhere to go but the bazaar. Bazaar .. the taste and color .., everything is as usual - consumer goods of Turkish production. Go 1 time for 20 min. As a result, a hotel with insufficient efficiency of the air conditioning system and a very simple design of the rooms. Very tired. If it's cheap, you can play the lottery. If there is something with a good rating 10-15% more expensive, then there is a reason to consider something else.

This is our second time at TUI Magic Life Masmavi and once again it has been outstanding! As a family we have travelled to quite a few hotels and this one is really hard to beat. The location is fantastic, with everything you could wish for - both beach and lots of options of pools. Our room this year is incredible, with sea view, great size, 2 bathrooms and positioned perfectly. The Lagoon family rooms are perfect! The whole family have really enjoyed the entertainment - not only the shows, but the entertainers have been so welcoming and friendly after the shows too, teaching our boys dance moves and encouraged them to join in. Our boys loved seeing Sara, Matheus, Chetin, Emma etc return back again this year - and has now made friends with some of the new entertainers too. Jason’s mime dancing entertained us all! They all go the extra mile and can’t do enough to make sure everyone have a Magic time. The hardest part for us when booking a holiday is my extreme food allergy. Not only am I allergic to eat nuts (and a long list of other things!) but it’s also airborne. As you can imagine it’s tricky when at most hotels there are bowls of nuts everywhere, especially in the evenings. This is where Magic Life Masmavi really has set themselves way ahead of other hotels. Ercan, the Operations Executive at the hotel insisted to give me his number so I can What’s App him with any worries, questions etc. He has also swapped the bowls of nuts in the bar for popcorn, meaning that I can enjoy the evening entertainment with my family instead of having to stay in the room. This means so much - I know that they were worried about getting complaints from other guests, but the fact that they have put my safety above this is incredible and I’m so very grateful. Not only this, to ensure that there is no cross contamination in my meals, Mehmet the Executive Sous Chef, is my main allergy contact in the restaurant. I simply what’s app him my food order 1 hour before I want to eat and he personally makes sure my food is cooked safely for me. I really could not ask for any more! It really is going above and beyond to ensure my safety and this has meant that I really can relax and not constantly be worried about having an allergic attack. Just returned from a family week away at Granda, as the other reviews mention it’s probably more 4 star than 5. The hotel is absolutely massive, the lobby, main pool and water park are amazing. The downside to the size is it does get so busy. We had a standard family room (1 double bed, 1 single and 1 single sofa bed), the tv in the room is tiny and only has 2 English channels. The main buffet restaurant gets so busy during breakfast and dinner, and although there’s lots of food on offer most of it is the same, and hardly changes each day. The food park by the main pool is quite a nice touch. The main pool is absolutely massive, and is next to the water park etc. you will need to get up early to get a sunbed, there seems to be quite a few people chucking towels on sunbeds and then disappearing for the day. The pool bar seems to serve everyone else first and then English people last. We went to Belek town to do some shopping one day, there is a taxi stand outside the hotel, it’s around 5 euros each way, however beware they do try charge you more on the return. Overall it is a good hotel for family’s, the kids enjoyed it, but the rooms, food etc is not 5 star.

Everything is great at the Calista Hotel, but I especially want to say about the cleanliness of the rooms and corridors, staircases, entrance areas, everywhere. The cleaning service cleans the rooms very well and quickly, taking into account all the wishes of the guests and the cleaning time too. Linen, mattress covers, towels, bathrobes and everything else - everything is super snow-white! The employees respond very quickly if you need to bring or change something additionally. A very special and wonderful welcoming attitude towards children and I would like to say separately about the employee of the cleaning service of the Calista MERVE ÖNER hotel - an incredible professional, very charming, polite, tactful, always cleans our large room super quickly and super efficiently!
