The hotel was very sketchy. There was remodeling going on, yes but there were stairwells blocked and nasty trash being left in ”cleaned” rooms. There was also men propositioning the young ladies in our group to ”make some quick money”. There were no roll away beds available and the rooms had blood on pillows, coffee cups still in the microwave and adult trash under the counter. The hot plates in the rooms made noises and kept lighting up, like it had a short in it, so we unplugged it because there was no smoke detectors in the rooms. The lady at the front desk was rude when we went to check out. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and will never stay with rodeway again. We booked on Comfort Suites site and will be calling to complain to them. The pool was green. The quilts had cigarette burns in it, the air conditioner leaked which made the floor have soft spots. The doors had gaps in the top where it has been kicked in. The electronic door pad was also not working. The window was broken to a room they tried to put us in at first. The dresser was broken and the sheets were stained. I'm glad we had blankets and pillows in the car.

I made a reservation at this hotel after a long day of driving and needing to stop. When I arrived, the front desk woman was on speaker on her cell phone booking reservations for her own trip. She did not say a word to me but simply held out her hand for my ID and card. Gave me room keys without a word. I asked here where the room was and she just pointed away from herself. I went out to get my things and returned. The room she wrote on the card was 1201. This room did not exist. And I was forced to return to her, where she was still on speaker booking her own trip, and she rudely told me she wrote the right number on the other side of the paper. This was only the beginning of this stay from hell. The ENTIRE property reeked of ****. Not something stale or in passing but quite clearly many people were smoking throughout the hotel. Then I get to my room and it is filthy. Old food remnants on the floor. No toilet paper in bath room. Very foul BO smell. Tried calling front desk and (big shock) the woman hasn’t answered the phone. I’ve been staying at choice hotels for years and this is DISGUSTING. $70 for a dirty, smelly room and an incredibly rude hostess who couldn’t be bothered to speak to me? Oh, and did I mention I’ve been on hold with their service line for 40 minutes? Unbelievable!
