We went to Seville from 02/04 to 02/08, we chose 2 hotels because we benefit from a 2-day BONGO voucher. We therefore completed 2 NIGHTS in the Metroplole hotel. The hotel is very well located near the center, this unfortunately remains the only positive point. 1/ So if you want to rest, don't go there, or else bring earplugs and sleeping pills. The rooms on the street side have a problem, the dilapidated frames and single glazing let all the noise through, you will not sleep... the hotel is aware of this, moreover on the ground floor as well as at the other hotel (Cathedral – stayed 2 Night)) ; there is a double insulation box!!! So why rent the rooms if you are aware of the problem...The hotel is new, they have 2 others in Seville! so no excuses eh 😊 2/ Be careful, this is not a hotel that has been taken over as is! there is no reception, you receive a Wapp with instructions... For me it's okay, I come from Europe and I'm comfortable with WhatsApp, but for Americans or others who pay roaming, it's just on the limit! 3/ Mandatory payment despite “no booking prepayment”. In the middle of the day, we received a message from the hotel forcing us to pay or else they would not activate the access codes! (night view and cleanliness, I understand better…) 4/ Cleanliness – Please – Cleanliness!!! The photos speak for themselves (in a hotel you have to clean everywhere!!!! Not just the bed areas “and then again”)… I can't say that the room was dirty but this one wasn't “very clean”… for some less careful people it could pass 5/ damp room, leak in the bathroom, mold in the room: horrible, musty smell (the photos speak for themselves!!! 6/ premium room supposedly - it's debatable... Premium in the price!, I chose something classy, agreed to pay + so that on arrival, it's small, poorly soundproofed and... We asked for compensation for the 1st night, we were refused… The hotel offered us to spend the 2nd night elsewhere but I was leaving at 4:00 a.m. and I was already on the way to Seville, I had lost 2 hours on the morning of my city trip because of that night! I didn't want to return to the hotel, pack up my luggage, lose 2 hours and my entire day... In return, I wanted partial compensation, which was refused!!! For the 2nd night, I was offered to change hotels, I refuse, it's my problem, I have my reasons, BUT for the 1st night!!! a little serious... Explanation from the Hotel: We have double glazing on the ground floor, unfortunately not in your room 😊 We are not responsible for the outside a**osphere 😊 on a Tuesday, ...in February 😊 Despite the known problem , they continue to rent at high prices!
