Los Seises Sevilla, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Our first time in Sevilla and we enjoyed it. We had a warm welcome from the team including, Antonio Barnal, Jose, David, Alan, Pedro, Ana, Miguel, Inma, Paula, Leo and Claudia. Our room was a bit smaller than we would have hoped for and a few things needed fixing, like the outer door of the fridge and the safe, which was eventually fixed by the lovely Sebastian. Housekeeping, however, were not quite as efficient – each day they would forget to replace something or the other such as fresh glasses, toilet paper and even face towels. The building itself was quite charming, as parts of the structure from the 16th century had been preserved such as the mosaic floors and Arab columns. The hotel is situated in the Santa Cruz district, not far to walk for shopping, restaurants and visiting the Alcazar palace and other major attractions. The pool on the rooftop, was lovely too.

This hotel is in Marriott’s premium brand category, so we had high expectations upon arrival. I understand that it is an historic property, although nothing about the hotel’s historic nature was pointed out to us at check-in. That should be a given. On the positive side, the hotel is in an excellent location for walking around to all the sites. What it fell short on was the quality of the room, which was in dire need of maintenance. As soon as we found our room, we had problems with the keycard entry. Swipe card, light turns green, turn handle, door doesn’t open. On repeat! Eventually, the door opened, where other issues awaited us. The room safe was locked on our arrival, and the mini fridge was running hot, so everything inside it was warm. The bathroom door was warped, so using it meant pushing hard against it to get it to close. Not exactly quiet in the night. We did report all of this to the front desk staff, and they did reset the safe and replaced the batteries in the door entry. No help with the bathroom door, however, nor when the toilet seat literally came off its hinges our last evening there! We reported this on our way out for the evening, thinking it might be fixed by the time we got back. The desk staff shrugged and said it’s Saturday night, there won’t be any maintenance now. Our overall experience was disappointing, considering the reputation of Marriott. We are still waiting for our points to be posted as well.

Went as a family of three with one year old. Was skeptical cause of reviews as narrow roads so some cab drivers don’t want to go that far but we booked airport transfer via hotel so made it easier. Few steps around the hotel but ramp access available. Huge thanks to abde on reception, he was so helpful and friendly with our baby. Can be tricky on some roads with buggy but we managed to go around the city a lot as everything is walking distance so was a huge plus for us. Really good location. Breakfasts was very average and have had a lot better and AC was not working during couple days and it was quite hot during our stay and cleaners did not clean room properly I noticed. Nice decor in rooms . On the whole was a good stay as very good location and abde was very helpful. Few negatives listed above.

Amazing. Great location. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a stunning setting next to the hotels Roman ruins. The view from the rooftop of the cathedral is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay. Central and beautiful. Staff were so helpful. Hose at night time was excellent. The guy who manages breakfast was so helpful and kind. The roof top bar was comfortable and scenic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - really lovely. I would definitely come back and loved my stay.
