Hotel Rey Alfonso X

Right in old town, just 5 mins away from Cathedral. Major attractions are all within walking distance. Room is large and has all basic amenities. Room oversee a small square below with restaurants but the windows are sound proof from street noise. Hotel has a nice rooftop area which can overlook the old city. Good breakfast spread.

Not a very good room they have .. and they made me stay downstairs… like the basement … so complicated to go in . But nice poop they have… too small tho

We stayed at the Rey Alfonso X on our first visit to Seville 5 years ago and had no hesitation in booking it again for our second trip to this gorgeous city. From the moment you step inside you know that every member of staff from reception, breakfast room and housekeeping will do their best to give you the best stay possible. Each one of them greets you with a smile and a ‘hola’. We arrived on a very early flight, it was no problem to the hotel who offered to look after our cases (as check in is at 4pm) so we could begin exploring the city. The hotel is extremely well placed for any of the main sights such as the Cathedral, Alcazar, Plaza de Espana shops and restaurants. The hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas, with a nice modern style. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel but there was next to no noise from outside due to the French doors in the room having a second set of doors on a Juliet type balcony. The only noise we did hear were other guests not using quiet voices in the corridor when returning at night which is not down to the hotel. We were extremely happy with our room, it was a welcome haven for a break from the high temperatures during the afternoon! Every time we came in and the room had been made up, it looked as lovely as when we first arrived, housekeeping do a wonderful job. The bathroom was great, very powerful shower and a large selection of toiletries provided. Lots of space around the sink and bath areas to put bottles, toothpaste etc. There was a great selection at breakfast and you help yourself from a nicely laid out buffet. There are fruit juices, a wide selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, cold meats, salmon, cheese and bread. Also scrambled eggs, bacon sausage and many more things to tempt you. I think there is something to please everyone and it is kept very well stocked throughout breakfast. The tables are also cleared very quickly. One afternoon we returned to the room and were delighted to find a bottle of Prosecco had been left on ice for us. What a lovely gesture, I have never experienced this anywhere before, we felt well taken care of here and that us having the best holiday mattered to Rey Alfonso X. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Seville!

Hotel is in a good location. There are several restaurants directly in front of the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned each day and bathroom essentials replenished each day. Continental breakfast was okay. Nothing exceptional. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a laundromat across the street.
