Hotel Don Paco

I organised a trip for 80 people to Seville. Good Central location, clean, well equipped rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Hard finding a good hotel to accommodate so many people but this hotel was excellent. ....

This is a highly underrated place. The staff were fantastic in getting us in early after our bus arrived early. They were always friendly & accommodating. The room was fantastic, with great AC central air. Plenty of room, storage, and a good sized bathroom. The shower is a little dangerous and gets water on the floor though. The breakfast buffet was a surprise home run. Our tour was 3 hours late so we decided to try the buffet. The spread is massive, with chorizo, iberico, sausage, sweets, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice. There are a lot of options and it was all great. The location is great, close to anything you need.

Probably the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in,the room was minute and smelt musty,to get out of the bathroom you had to stand in the shower to open the door.The bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in the mattress so I had little sleep.It seems to attract coaches of teenagers who love playing football in the corridors at four o’clock in the morning.The breakfast is very average and overpriced,the waitress was clearing the table before people had finished eating,although the orange juice was very good.The bar was not open and when asking reception if it would be open we were informed it was at the managers discretion,and it stayed closed.Never again.

My overriding impression of this hotel is poor. I was part of a tour group with pre allocated rooms. My first room was remarkably small, reminiscent of a corridor. And it was hot. I advised reception that the air conditioning wasn't working. Despite being 25C outside they said it was set centrally to heat and they couldn't do anything about it. Asking for a different room which was not so claustrophobic elicited the reply 'we are full'. The receptionist was not helpful. After standing my ground the receptionist said there may be a different room available the next day. Fortunately there was, and the next day's receptionist understood customer service. The first high spot. We were moved to a room at the front. Not large but a lot better than the first. This is a very basic hotel, lacking many of the things I take for granted nowadays. For example, receptionists who care, tissues, shower cap, instructions how to use the TV, the air-conditioning in the room. It seemed to me that everything was geared down to price rather than up to a better standard. Yes, it is conveniently situated, but so are many others. I definitely do not recommend the hotel and would not stay there again.
