山丹軍馬場整體住宿環境並不能和內地相比，房間乾淨、整潔、熱水好就已經不錯，在那種寬闊的草原上，民宿老闆的個人素質才是旅行快樂最有益身體健康補充，也就是軟實力很重要。牧馬人是一家温暖親切的草原民宿。老闆是當地人，情況熟悉，為人厚道，對客人特別有責任心。入住之前聯繫他，得到確認後，就主動幫助我把房間暖氣打開，還提前燒好電熱毯，讓人很親切並且很有安全感。
