"Unfortunately my experience wasn't good. Hot water didn't work, it was only warm. I did it in the afternoon anyway but ny boyfriend waited untill 11pm. Elettronic key of our room never worked. We always had to call someone to open our room. About water problem they said there was an issue in all the hotel and they can fix it the next morning. We could not find a standard queen bed room, they have queen room just very expensive and for cheaper price they have only twin rooms. We paied a full amount for the night we staied but we didn't have full 100% service we should receive from the booking. They suggest us a refund to change hotel but it was so late and we are travelling with bicycles, after a ride of 150km we were too tired to move in another location during the dark at 10pm. We just needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep. Finally we received a 100 cny caution back, and the next morning ladies at reception gave us 6 small bottle of water to apologize. I'm really upset about nobody advise us about water issue during check in, so there was still time to move in another accomodation, especially for elettronic key, I can't understand why it's never worked. Be carefull for next booking about rooms at 5th level. I don't know if it's a problem only for foreign people or for everyone. Room price list are very expensive so, I think they have not a bad service. Unfortunately it's the first time during my 32 years happened this, especially during my 27 days in China, all the issue where always well reserved. This time my experience was really stressful, I don't feel like to recommended it and I hope never happen again to other travelers. Thank you anyway."

"During summer vacation, we took our children to visit the Hexi Corridor. Our last stop was the Shandan Military Horse Farm in Zhangye. We chose to stay at the Xingxiu Hotel, which opened in 2024. The accommodation was very good and close to the scenic area, just a few minutes' walk away. Unfortunately, the weather was not good. It was raining continuously and the temperature dropped sharply. We rented a windbreaker from the hotel. The landlady was very kind and let us wear it to the station on the day we checked out, and then the driver took it back with us. This prevented us from catching a cold."

"This time I came to Shandan to work and chose Jinjie Wanshang Hotel, which exceeded expectations. The hotel is located in the core area of Jinjie Street, Changcheng Road. It is convenient to take a taxi and drive by car. It has its own free large parking lot. Parking is not necessary to worry about it. The front desk staff is gentle, check-out is efficient and fast, and there is a timely response to needs. The rooms are spacious, equipped with a separate desk, sufficient floor heating, stable 24-hour hot water, complete toiletries, full WiFi coverage in the whole house, and the office brush mobile phone is not stuck. The rooms are cleaned meticulously, the floor and bathroom have no smell, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. Downstairs comes with hot pot and KTV. You don’t have to go far for dinner. The surrounding shops are complete. Business travel is very worry-free. It is highly recommended to friends who come to Shandan for business trips."

"Spacious, sunny, and reasonably priced. Although the windows were a bit dusty, it's understandable given the heavy sand and wind in the northwest. As the last night of our trip, we were exhausted and needed a hotel with decent conditions—a large room, a big bed, and a good bathroom—to get a proper rest. If you stay in the wooden cabins inside General Camp (Jiangjunying) during holidays, they are very expensive, windy, lack soundproofing, and get quite cold. Showers aren't great either, and the camp itself isn't very peaceful, so you might not sleep well. Therefore, those looking to book should choose based on their own needs."
