I stayed in the Portma Ritz Carlton for 2 nights just after Christmas. The service was excellent, all of the staff went above and beyond to help me. They greeted me by name, remembered my coffee and drink orders and went to great lengths to help me. The staff in the club lounge were amazing, Lisa, Tina, Sunny, Vincent and others. The floor attendant Cici was also so helpful. The location is great, many restaurants around and short walk to The Kerry Center and Jingan temple. definitely recommend!

Very convenient place for tourist , a lot of restaurants around hotel and walking distance to Jing'an template.

In a great location near many great restaurants. Food at the included breakfast was fine but I will say...the staff in the restaurant could allow guests to be a little bit more independent and not approach the table every few minutes. Aside from that it's a brilliant hotel, will definitely recommend.

Always a pleasure to stay in the Ritz Portman at the Shanghai Centre. Every time we come to Shanghai, we stay here. Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, quiet and comfortable rooms, and even accommodated a late check out to match our flight time. See you next time!

Good location, walking distance to Jingan Temple and West Nanjing Road metro stations, also many choices to eat nearby. Hotel breakfast is also quite good, many selections.

it was quite enjoyable overall. The hotel's location was excellent, making it convenient to explore the area. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries. However, I couldn't help but notice that the room could use some updating to match the high standard of the service. Despite this, there were plenty of dining options nearby, adding to the convenience of the stay. Would consider staying again.

This was the best hotel experience we have ever had! The service was beyond fabulous! Matthew and Tina were so lovely and thoughtful. I am only sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names or else I would mention them too. Matthew and Tina went out of their way to offer us gifts during our stay. Matthew even mixed special cocktails just for us! We would highly recommend anyone to stay at a Club Lounge room here as I can guarantee you will be very well taken care of. Thank you again to the staff there for making our stay as wonderful as it was! We will definitely be going back in the very near future!

Very grand and luxurious hotel with top notch service. It’s in a very convenient location with numerous restaurants and malls just mere minutes away. It’s also close to jingan metro station and a number of interesting sights.

The staff was extremely attentive, from opening doors of the cars to the assistance for check in. They smiled and maintained the personalised service to ensure that the guest is well taken care of. The pool was great!

There was quite a long line during check in. However Giwa who assisted us during check in has been wonderful! He was extremely professional and helpful.
While we were waiting for check in we had to witness a foreign staff member offering a welcome drink to a foreign guest in line, however he would not ask any Asian looking guest waiting in line. That was quite distasteful.
The hotel is a bit old however location is superb. The mini bar was locked in the room so it was quite funny when reception asked me during check out if we had used the mini bar during our stay….
