The location was excellent with many local food around the corner. It is a historic hotel but amenities is obviously lacking. There is no climate control. We are wearing t-shirts and shorts in room otherwise the heat is unbearable. The cleanliness is acceptable for the areas that are usually accessible. However for other areas, there will be dust and dirt, which is difficult for sensitive sinus sufferers.

Very good location and staff support well, there is only one concern that there are rooms in new connected building. There is no elevator in this extended but it is only 1 floor.

We got a family room at 6th floor. I can hear people talking along corridor even when I am still sleeping in the morning so it is no good. There is bathtub in toilet but no stopper so mean we cannot soak in bathtub water to relax at night after a busy day. So the bathtub is a white elephant. But this hotel location is good as only need to cross traffic light from opposite Mrt station Exit 8 and walk 5minutes.

The furniture became a bit old comparing to what it was years ago when I stayed in this hotel
But still is a very nice Italian baroque style
Location is very good , close to almost anywhere
I personally like this marriage between the East and the west ( Italian architecture of 20 century in the heart of Asian beautiful city of Shanghai)

Good place to stay, the hotel attendant didnt vacuum the room. The old man security duty at night is very nice and accomodating.

location is very good, it is along part of Nanjing West Road
but my room is right next to the "servicing catering" room, very noisy in the night
hotel is conventional with old days luxurious style

Air conditioning temperature not turned on or set too high, the room felt hot. Cigarette smoke smell. Room light too dim.
Plus is very good location to People’s Square and Nanjing Road.

Hotel is just right across the metro, good location. Breakfast quality was excellent for families - fried rice, porridge in the morning. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly too.

Staff are attentive and very accommodating. Location is very accessible from Exit 7 of People's Square station. You can walk from this area to the nearby sightseeing views - the Bund. Rooms are pretty big, with enough amenities.

Very convenient and budgeted option. However, the lights are too dim in the room. The ceiling has water leaking marks and peeling painting. Wooden floor has been worn off. Smelly air-con and very humid air in the room. Unfitted bed sheets and mattress protector. Blood marked quilt and marked pillow. Fridge is not working at all. It has turned my drinks into hot drinks.
