Back when this hotel was a Sofitel, service and staff attitude were impeccable. Now they can’t even get the basic thing right.
Had a 6 night stay here, and during the morning of our 4th day we discovered a dead roach lying on the hallway of our room. Surely a roach in guest room will be considered a major issue? Apparently not here.
When we asked the front desk during check out if the matter has been relayed to the management and what their follow up action was, the response is shockingly ignorant and I was brushed off saying this is minor issue and has been taken care of.
Insisting to speak to manager, we found out that apparently management were not informed of this matter. Pure amateurism.
And on the topic of cleanliness and service, good luck finding a clean unoccupied table after 8am. Little wonder roaches love this hotel.

Counter can speak some English but not fluently and totally understand.The location is not shown in didi map so it is so difficult to call a taxi. There are no bell boy or any support service in the hotel.

Great location right at the Nanjing road. Few minutes walk to the bund. Very clean and quiet at night.
