I'm writing this express my disappointment and frustration with the air conditioning in the room during my recent stay . Despite having the air conditioning on, my partner and I woke up feeling extremely stuffy on two consecutive nights. We called the front desk, and the night manager explained that the hotel uses a central air conditioning system. We were offered a fan, which we declined, expecting a functioning air conditioning system for a 5-star hotel.
After feedback from multiple guests, the operations team eventually turned on the air conditioning. However, the issue persisted on the second night. We spoke with Mr. Gavin Zhu at the front desk, who explained that the hotel wouldn't adjust the temperature due to a lack of complaints. After our feedback, he got the engineering department to adjust the temperature.
I commend Mr. Zhu for his efforts, but the issue highlights a possible instructional problem. As a 5-star hotel, a basic expectation is a fully functioning air conditioning system with both warm and cold modes available for guests' comfort. It's unacceptable to compromise on this fundamental aspect of hospitality.
I hope you'll investigate this matter and take necessary steps to ensure the air conditioning is at the right temperature centrally, allowing guests to adjust it to their preference. Thank you for your attention, and please pass along my thanks to the night operations team, including Mr. Gavin Zhu, for their efforts to resolve the situation.
