Used this hotel a couple of times and it is a great and cheaper alternative to the bund area. Very convenient for the conference center and 30-40 mins to pudong airport. Turn left when you leave the hotel and walk a few blocks and there is a shopping center with great food choices. Of course the bund (either side) is awesome too.

If you are after a more high-end dining experience, the Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant specializes in abalone, bird's nest and other Cantonese delicacies.
