Yuzhan No.8 Art Hotel (Shanghai Beach Branch) Reviews

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is fantastic—conveniently close to many attractions and places of interest—my overall experience fell short of expectations. The photos of the hotel online don’t accurately reflect its current condition. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was an issue; the shower and shower curtain had visible mold, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the lack of blinds on the windows meant that streetlight flooded the room at night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I believe the hotel needs some serious attention to maintenance and cleanliness to match its great location.

It was excellent! Perfect location, a little breakfast every morning, a water bottle every day, and the room got cleaned everyday. Would come back!

We stay for 1 week to this hotel. I booked for 3 nights but because of the very accommodating reception named Xiaoran,and that one guy who always assist us with a very good English we stayed. The room is clean & comfortable we extend our remaining nights here. Walking distance to Nanjing road, the bund, and you will see the view of Oriental Pearl and other beautiful views here in Shanghai.

Perfect location, 3 minutes from the Bund. Location full of restaurants, shops and sightseeing sites. You can see in the attached photo the view from our room: the Shanghai tower!! June and the rest of the staff speaks English and they are really kind and helpful!! Best place to stay in Shanghai for international travellers!

This hotel is very good, I love the atmosphere around the hotel, the room is enough for 2 person, it's comfortable to sleep. This hotel also have laundry room, where you can wash and dry your clothes. The location is easy to go the bund (around 7 minutes walk) and Nanjing road pedestrian street (3 minutes walk) if you like shopping and also a lot of restaurants around here. It is also near with the train station (Line 2) which I can directly went to hotel by train from Airport. Thanks for the hospitality Xiao Ran for helping me everything during stay in Hotel.

Very good location. Nice receptionist and rooms are fairly clean. Clean bed for sure. Would stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the front desk staff, Xiao Ran, provides good service. I will choose this place again for my next trip!

The hotel is in a hystorical building and the location is amazing, close to the shopping road, the bund view and a 24h combini. Although from the picture the hotel looked nicer and the room looked bigger, and both the room and the hotel could help a bit of renovation. The breakfast was a bit weird but it's nice It's delivered on your door. Overall we had a nice stay and the staff is super helpful and nice even if nobody speaks in English. Highly recommended for a couple of days

Very great and clean hotel. Near to the bond and nanjing road only few menuts. The prices are good. The staff very friendly especially xiaoran. Recommend and definitely come back again.

Great location, near the bund and many restaurants in the area. The room I stayed in was newly renovated, the bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of hair on the floor and the bathroom had a terrible smell. You have to keep the extractor fan off and the bathroom door closed, otherwise the smell spreads to the whole room.The reception area was very run down, so not a good first impression. The breakfast was just bread, 2 boiled eggs and milk. Housekeeping folded my used towels and put them back on the shelf and didn’t make up the bed or clean the floor. So no point of housekeeping even entering the room at all during my stay.

There were so many drain flies throughout the room. The shower curtain had mold on it. Also don’t know when last they cleaned under the bed. Room would be okay if not for the poor cleanliness. Hotel looks a bit more run down than what the pictures posted online show.

It was the most horrible experience I’ve ever experienced and the hotel room was super stinky and scary. And even have too less light was so dark. Plus the customer service lady was super rude whatever i ask she even didn’t try to help. And the breakfast is like a ****. Oh my gosh! Just the location was the best otherwise this hotel it’s just horrible…. I don’t want to complain but i feel like i have to say it.

The bathroom shower has mold. The customer service was good. The hotel is located right on the Bund with is perfect location. However, they need to address the mold, at least it looks like mold...doesn't look clean.
