The Anandi Hotel and Spa Shanghai

Extremely comfortable and cozy, and they even decorated the room for me! I've celebrated almost every holiday here, and each one has its own unique charm. This time, I added a travel photoshoot, and the results were quite satisfying. It was my first time spending Christmas here; we ate and watched performances, and there was even a small outdoor market. Too bad I didn't win anything in the lottery – a small souvenir would have been a nice gesture!

First off, the service was exceptional. Before our trip, our concierge, KK, reached out in advance to share important information and let us know we could ask her anything, which was incredibly thoughtful and convenient. After checking in, they offered a body composition test – though not super useful, it showed great attention to service. Then, someone escorted us to the elevator, and another person was waiting there on our floor to take us to our room, explain the facilities, and offer snacks and tea. The next morning, herbal tea was even delivered to our door early. On our last day, we ordered room service, and when the food was a bit late, they not only gave us a discount but also extended our check-out time until 3 PM. So, the service truly was outstanding. Next, regarding the wellness programs, we participated in the deep sleep workshop, yoga, Baduanjin, and the hot springs... Apart from it being a bit crowded at times, the experience was quite good. Finally, the food. The breakfast buffet was abundant with many choices, including low-fat milk. The coffee was custom-made with latte art. For dinner, they offered Western buffet, Chinese, and Japanese options. It’s best to have your concierge book those in advance.

Our New Year's Day stay at The Anandi Hotel with my family was absolutely perfect, a definite five-star-plus experience! Although we had to wait a bit for check-in due to full occupancy, a big thank you to Ms. CICI; her warm service turned what could have been a minor hiccup into a major plus. Upon arrival, the elegant lobby instantly helped us relax after a tiring journey. The front desk staff patiently explained the full occupancy situation and suggested we have a meal at the hotel's restaurant first. After checking in, a butler delivered a wellness tea. Considering we were traveling with elderly family members and had a slower pace, they proactively offered a late check-out, which made our trip much more relaxed. Our room was spacious and bright, with soft and comfortable bedding. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options to satisfy everyone's tastes. The hotel's attention to detail was truly thoughtful, from the unique wellness tests to convenient charging ports, all of which demonstrated their genuine sincerity. From patiently handling the wait during full occupancy, to proactively offering advice on hot springs and dining, and finally, to flexibly extending our check-out time, The Anandi Hotel's meticulous service made our family trip both reassuring and heartwarming.

I was quite lucky to have chosen this hotel for my New Year's Eve stay in 2026, primarily because it has its own hot springs, and the suites come with outdoor hot tubs. I especially want to commend the excellent service; the staff are all very attentive. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance!

Iris contacted us before check-in to arrange our room, helping us get a room with a balcony. After check-in, she also helped us with a late check-out so we could rest a bit longer. My luggage was stored with the concierge due to work, and Erica helped me locate it and arranged for a driver to take it to the high-speed rail station. Overall, the service this time was excellent, and the stay was very pleasant. I look forward to visiting Shanghai again.

The environment is great, both indoors and outdoors are very clean and tidy. The service is also thoughtful, with assistance available at almost every step. The wellness courses offer a unique experience, and the package provides excellent value for money.
