A great place to stay with friend and family. Heartwarming owner and lovely place. Nice local Chinese breakfast.

Very nice and helpful host which you can just ask him anything and he will provide you with super reliable contact for your transport in Yunnan and etc. The hostel’s location is convenient, furthermore, host will pick you up and drop you off at designated location so you wont have to tow your luggage on rocky path. Breakfast provided and probably the best breakfast I had throughout my whole trip.

We were staying at Ganlo Inn for 2 nights. The hotel location is very convenient, the room was very huge and super clean. The staffs were very kind and very helpful although we can't speak Chinese well. We love hotel's healthy breakfast. We will definitely come back in future.

Our stay at Ganlo Inn (甘露客栈) was nothing short of amazing. Location was fantastic, conveniently located within Dukezong Ancient City and a 5-min walk to Yueguang Plaza (月光广场) where you can easily call for your Didi transport. Run by a Chinese family, everyone was hospitable and constantly checked in on us to ensure that we were well-taken care of. Any questions were responded to in a timely manner via WeChat. They even linked us up with a local tour agency that helped us with our day-trip to Balagezong. Daily breakfast was simple and no-frills but tasted delicious and homely. On the day that we had to leave earlier to catch our bus, they went over and above and gave us sandwiches to-go. Visiting Shangri-la during the low Winter season, we were concerned about the cold temperature. Our worries were unfounded because both the room and floors were well-heated, ensuring that we returned to a warm and cosy room every night. Warm water was consistent which was definitely a plus. The room was also equipped with intelligent facilities that made the stay great: Heated automatic toilet and shower cubicle. The provision of the humidifier and oxygen concentrator also helped us to acclimatise quickly to the high altitude. Will definitely recommend Ganlo Inn to my friends who intend to visit Shangri-la.

It’s my first time here at Shangri-la and I had the best 4 nights at this family-run inn. The inn is conveniently located within the ancient town and it is situated near the world’s largest prayer wheel of the great Buddha temple. The family’s son personally drove down to the airport past midnight to help us transport our luggages to the inn. Upon arrival, we are greeted with some of the best tea and snacks unique to Shangri-la. The room is Japanese style, making way for plenty of natural light. It is also clean. More importantly, it is well equipped with room heater, floor heater, oxygen concentrator, and humidifier, which are essential to a good night’s sleep. The family would always invite us for their family meals, and the lady boss even made 土豆丝 and 牛肉包子 for us when she learnt that it’s our favourite dish! She is an enthusiastic lady who would always make sure our stomachs are full. She also makes amazing pickles, something I would miss greatly. The family’s son has good knowledge of the place and would notify us of the festivities that are happening. He also knows some of the best places to eat and do ******* style photoshoot. Overall, my stay at Ganlo felt like home, and I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking to have a good time. 谢谢阿姨这几天的招待 ☺️

Family run hotel. Everyone kind and helpful despite language barrier. Public areas light and airy. Rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Quality bed and bedlinen. My room was large with a balcony overlooking the street. I really enjoyed my stay at Ganlo Inn; highly recommend.

very helpful hotel where we arrived on Saturday evening for holiday. In the morning my husband was feeling unwell and the hotel staff was amazing to help and drive us to hospital. Very kind family with extra care and nice hotel. Very clean. Very happy if it was in best conditions for us to stay.. .Thank you a thousand for your help. Hopefully they were well equipped with oxygen sensor and everything.

The son of the host helped us with the luggage as our rooms are at the second floor. thank you for the wonderful stay!

Hotel locates in very good location. We had very beautiful view of Dafo Si. Also very convenient to travel around. The service is very good. The owner family always gave us warm welcome. They also gave us luggage pick up to the hotel which help us a lot. Room facilities are very good. All look nice and very useful. Floor heater made it comfortable to walk around the room. Oxygen generator and air humidifier made our life better here in very high altitude place. The only point of improvement is the cleanliness of the room. There are some spots that are not neatly clean. Overall, we had good experience here.

I really loved the stay at Ganlo Inn. The owners were very warmth and kind. We arrived at the accommodation slightly after lunch and did not have our lunch. The owners were very hospitable to invite us to join them for lunch. Definitely a kind gesture and we greatly appreciated it! Also like that the location of the accommodation is very convenient and near to the temple. We can easily take a night stroll to see the night lighting at the temple and make a quick way back!
