Banyan Tree has never disappointed me. As the first Banyan Tree in China, I was fortunate to check in and experience the life of the Tibetan people. I decided to come to Shangri-La on short notice and stayed at the well-known Banyan Tree. Let's not talk about the Tibetan style of the hotel. I respect and understand it. Although I am timid and afraid of this black and red style, I even need my boyfriend to accompany me to go to the toilet on the first floor. The hardware facilities of the hotel really need to be improved. First, the bathroom and toilet on the first floor are as simple as a 100-yuan guesthouse. The hygiene is worrying. There are double eyelid stickers on the mirror? Maybe the room is really too big and such details were not noticed when cleaning. But this is not what a five-star hotel should do. Second, the TV is too far away from the bed and the dining table, and it cannot be moved and cannot be seen at all. Third, there is only one bottle of Coke in the refrigerator. Let's not talk about whether it is charged or not. Doesn't the housekeeping department replenish the drinks in the refrigerator? The service fee for Coke is also charged when checking out the next day. To be honest, it's very ugly to collect these two yuan! There is no souvenir when leaving the five-star specialty hotel. I stayed in four hotels in Yunnan, and other hotels will send a souvenir to express their feelings. Fortunately, the attitude of the hotel waiters is very friendly. These problems I mentioned may not be solved by them. Alas

I have checked in at almost all Banyan Tree hotels in China, but I rarely give serious comments. This time I can't help but say something. The location of this Banyan Tree is relatively remote, but it is convenient to take a taxi. It should be noted that you need to book a taxi in advance to go to other attractions from the hotel. There are not many drivers nearby who can accept orders in seconds, but the main focus is to integrate into the local area and escape from the world, which is not a problem. The decoration of the hotel is not as terrible as in other reviews. It has a strong Tibetan style. My friend and I like it very much. However, I have to mention two points: 1. The doorman is quite unprofessional and leaked the guest's room number. My friend and I, two girls, first pay attention to privacy and security issues when traveling. It is recommended to strengthen training and management. 2. It may be because it has been open for too long. Even if it is well maintained, many facilities are aging. The hot water in the room is extremely unstable after 10 o'clock in the evening. My friend took a cold shower. It is originally a plateau area. If you catch a cold, the consequences are terrible. I communicated with the front desk lady many times but still couldn't solve it. Later, I changed rooms to solve it. I have no intention of blaming any staff member. Our housekeeper, hotel manager, and shuttle bus guy were all very enthusiastic and responsible, especially the shuttle bus guy, who accompanied us back and forth late at night. I am very grateful to him. However, as the Banyan Tree Hotel itself, it should regularly inspect and maintain hotel facilities. Such low-level problems should not occur in old and expensive hotels.
