stayed one night, the room is very clean, has everything you need. walkable distance to ancient city, electric blankets and ac work good. loved the design as well

The location was really breathtaking, simply wonderful. The room was cleand and cozy (even had electric blankets to keep you warm in place of air conditioning!) and restaurant served tasty, Chinese dishes in good prices. Overall, the experience - together with the hike - was very nice but it has to be noted that in case of the simplest no-bathroom room, the shared public toilet and bathroom is quite a disgusting experience. We've seen a lot and this one 'topped' it all.

This suite is the most comfortable suite I have ever stayed in a B&B, including the most comfortable suite in a hotel. The room facilities are very complete. The bathtub is also very comfortable. There are many clothes for the children to play with. The bathroom is also equipped with a washing machine. It is really considerate and clean in terms of hygiene. The hotel staff are also very attentive. Tremella soup and hot milk are delivered to the room. The hotel is also very close to the prayer wheel, which is very convenient for travel!

Very nice place, the room is big, The bed very comfortable and the shower works perfectly. The bathroom was clean but some hair on the floor, but overall okay. The location was great, no noisy at all and a lot of restaurants nearby. We had a late checkout and they stored our luggage while we were waiting for our flight at night. Shangri-la was amazing! Well what can I say - this was a really, really great place to stay. The staff were very sweet and wonderful, the hotel is very cozy, and it is just a 5 minute walk from the main places in the old town. The rooms had heated floors which made it all the more comfortable. I also had a really fun time interacting with the young staff and sharing stories and cups of delicious tea which they made. Their library of books is excellent as well, if you want some quiet reading time under the sun roof. As a cherry on top they also have a very cute cat who is sunbathing most of the time. I would most certainly go back here the next time.

Singaporean travellers. Recommend this hostel if you plan to stay within the ancient town. Host was really friendly and helpful. We got advice and suggestions on itinerary, and host also had contacts with local drivers to 拼车/包车 which were much needed as we didn't have contacts for our travel. We went to Pudacuo national park, Songzanlin monastery, Meili Mountain. Amenities were complete and comfortable to stay in. Smart toilet, warm heated room, simple breakfast provided, lounge area with cute pet dog :)

I have stayed in many hotels in Shangrila old town over the past 12 years so have a little experience. Location: Close to the top dancing square but at the top of a very steep hill. It had rained so the stone street was VERY slippery. It is close to impossible to walk up the hill with suitcase. There is a 1/2 meter wide ***** of carpet that was laid down on the right side of the road going up the hill. It gave great traction, but unfortunately some non-thinking person had parked their electric cart directly on top of the carpet so you could not navigate it. I arrived at 6 PM and that electric cart was still sitting on the carpet in the same place the next morning at 9 AM. Trying to walk around the electric cart , but I did slip and fell to the ground. I would not come back to this hotel again, if there was any potential for any rain. The picture is of the morning after the rain had dried. When I booked my room, they did tell me that there was only one room remaining and it was for four people. I was solo but I booked it anyway. Unfortunately, I did not understand that there are four beds that are actually side-by-side touching each other. They are very very thin pads laid on top of a wooden platform. No way to get into or out of any bed without crawling back to the foot of the bed and going over the edge that way. It was the hardest sleeping service I have ever been on and got very little sleep. If I had my sleeping bag and camping mattress, I would’ve just slept on the floor. Won’t be back here again. The service people at the hotel were very nice. Offered to carry my bag up to my room on the third floor and the woman who provided the breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Have no complain about the service just the beds in the access to the hotel. If it’s raining, make it a no go for me 

It’s my first time here at Shangri-la and I had the best 4 nights at this family-run inn. The inn is conveniently located within the ancient town and it is situated near the world’s largest prayer wheel of the great Buddha temple. The family’s son personally drove down to the airport past midnight to help us transport our luggages to the inn. Upon arrival, we are greeted with some of the best tea and snacks unique to Shangri-la. The room is Japanese style, making way for plenty of natural light. It is also clean. More importantly, it is well equipped with room heater, floor heater, oxygen concentrator, and humidifier, which are essential to a good night’s sleep. The family would always invite us for their family meals, and the lady boss even made 土豆丝 and 牛肉包子 for us when she learnt that it’s our favourite dish! She is an enthusiastic lady who would always make sure our stomachs are full. She also makes amazing pickles, something I would miss greatly. The family’s son has good knowledge of the place and would notify us of the festivities that are happening. He also knows some of the best places to eat and do ******* style photoshoot. Overall, my stay at Ganlo felt like home, and I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking to have a good time. 谢谢阿姨这几天的招待 ☺️

Had a very comfortable 2-night stay here! Great location just a 2min walk from the North Gate of Dukezong, no problems finding the place with map apps. It's also just a short walk to Guishan Park and the dance square, which was lively and fun to watch. The weather can get chilly at night, but the room was so cozy and warm, with heated wooden floors. The shower has a digital display that tells you the temperature of the water, which was useful. The owners are very welcoming and hospitable, and the ginger tea was so warming and delicious. Would definitely stay again~

A very satisfying stay experience~ The service is meticulous and thoughtful. The store directly opens a WeChat group chat and responds promptly to any questions. It also provides services such as pick-up and drop-off, travel guide suggestions, etc. It is really convenient for out-of-town tourists. The transportation location is convenient, just near the east gate of Dukezong Ancient City. It is very convenient to walk and take a taxi. The room facilities are complete.
