I recently had a very disappointing experience at the East Athens Hotel. Checking in was a nigh**are, with the front desk receptionist looking confused and asking for help from a supervisor who completely ignored her. This resulted in me waiting a full 20 minutes for my room key. Upon entering the room, I was hit by a foul smell, probably due to poor ventilation or neglect. The furniture looked like it had not been updated since the Stone Age, and to make matters worse, the shower leaked, causing water to pool on the floor. To make matters worse, the curtains had visible mildew, a concerning health hazard. The next morning, when I went to enjoy the breakfast that was supposedly included, I was told it was not provided, despite having paid for it. After complaining, I was grudgingly given another room, but no compensation was offered for the inconvenience and false advertising. In addition to the initial issues I encountered, my experience at the East Athens Hotel continued to deteriorate. The replacement room provided also had more issues. The bathtub was clogged and the water was yellow at first, causing serious hygiene issues. In addition, the toilet in the new room was also clogged, adding to the frustration. Seeking help from the hotel staff only led to greater disappoin**ent. Instead of resolving the issue promptly, they directed me to use the public restroom in the spa area, which was not only unsanitary but also lacked basic privacy due to a faulty door lock. Even after requesting assistance with the blocked toilet in the replacement room, the issue was not resolved, which shows a serious lack of competence and care on the part of the hotel staff. Their lack of empathy for my concerns further exacerbated the overall negative experience. Good value for money for business trip. Free parking can save some money. It seems that this is the only hotel with free parking nearby.

The room is clean and the environment is quiet. I am very satisfied.

The exterior looks grand, but there is no hot water in the room. The waiter said it would take a long time to turn on the shower. There was no hot water even after 15 minutes of running the shower, so I had no choice but to skip taking a shower that night. Booked a room with a window, opened the curtains and saw a wall There is thick dust around the bed frame The only good thing is that the reception staff at the hotel are very nice and polite.
