City Inn (Shenzhen Splendid China)

The room was decent overall, suitable for a stay. It was a good size, and everything was in pretty good condition. It's conveniently located near attractions, which is a plus if you plan to visit them. Given how busy hotels get during holidays, it was a perfectly fine option.

Honestly, it's pretty good. It's clean and tidy, and I didn't encounter any hygiene issues, so it's definitely worth the price. When I booked, it said the room wouldn't have a window, but they ended up assigning me a room with one. The only catch was that the window faced dozens of air conditioners, which made it incredibly noisy. The door lock really needs an upgrade; it was super hard to open. I swiped my card dozens of times and it took several minutes to finally get in. On the plus side, the hotel is located right across from the Jinxiu Zhonghua pedestrian bridge, so the location is excellent. There's also a small parking area in front, probably enough for about 10 cars. If you want a spot, better get there early!

The hotel's exterior and entrance are quite grand, and the surrounding area is very pleasant. The room facilities are complete and tidy, but the downside is that the room had a very strong odor! Although I requested a non-smoking room, the smell upon entering was overwhelming, and the lingering smoke smell wouldn't dissipate.

Environment: Located at one end of the Splendid China pedestrian bridge, the surroundings are beautiful. Service: Check-in and check-out were both quick and convenient. Facilities: A bit old, but doesn't affect usability. Hygiene: Generally good, but the towels didn't feel very clean.

It was okay. Mainly, it's convenient for Window of the World in Nanshan.

Great value for money, didn't have high expectations otherwise. Breakfast was just okay, but the views from the venue are top-notch.

Stayed here for 3 nights over Chinese New Year, and it was excellent value for money. Firstly, the subway entrance is right outside, making getting around super convenient. Secondly, the service was incredibly thoughtful. On the first night, I asked for an extra toothbrush (there were three of us), and without even asking, the staff thoughtfully provided an extra set on both the second and third nights. Thirdly, the environment is lovely; we had a view of trees outside our window, and waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was incredibly relaxing. Fourthly, I have to mention their breakfast – it's fantastic! While not an enormous spread, every item is top-notch. The coffee is freshly ground from beans, and the milk comes straight from cartons into the machine. The soy milk, desserts, vegetables, and noodles were all great. Seriously, you HAVE to book a room with breakfast; you won't regret it!
