I applied for a one-day tour from Shenzhen to Hong Kong, and booked a youth hostel near the Liantang Port in advance. I didn’t expect the environment to be good. There is a commercial street downstairs, and the entrance of the downstairs is Michelle Ice City. I stayed here for two days There is an ice cream every night, which is so refreshing. The security guard at the entrance is also a handsome guy. There are special fans at the elevator on the first floor and the elevator downstairs, which will automatically run as long as there are people, so you don’t have to worry about sweating when you wait for the elevator. The room is well equipped, clean and hygienic. I booked a six-person room, and there were four people in the room that night. It was quite spacious and had a good night's sleep. In addition, it is not far from Huangbeiling subway station, about 500-meters away, and it takes a few minutes to arrive.

The place is more like a workers hostel than a traveller hostel. Light would be turned off at 11:30 pm and taking a bath was not recommended. Not too bad given the price and its location. However it is for workers, not travellers. Not recommended to foreigners who don't understand Chinese at all. The building's bar code entry scanner could only be set up in Chinese. Personal experience: one was told by a roommate (long term stay) to return earlier at night so no one would be disturbed at night. The boss was quite nice.
