Food and Service is good however the hotel location is abit hard to find and the room is quite old and basic

I had high expectations because the hotel was located on a hill and could see the Shimanto River, but the room was on the second floor, facing the mountain, and I could only see the unmaintained backyard, let alone the Shimanto River.I asked to change the room, but they said it was fully booked. It was not possible due to this. The meal was served in a dish bowl, with various side dishes served in small portions on a large plate, but none of them were exquisite, and they were all mediocre and completely disappointing. It felt like a 3000 yen dish served in the city. The hot spring was small and clean, but the sound of the water was so warm that no matter how much I used it, I felt uncomfortable. I think 23,000 yen per person per night is too expensive. It's a no-brainer and I'll probably never visit again.

This is an excellent ryokan owned by a family, with clean and neat japanese style en-suite and onsen. It locates at the top of a small hill overlooking the supreme zekkei of the Shimanto River. The owner and the staffs are very hospitable, we wish to visit again in the future, perhaps in a different season. Thank you very much and we had a wonderful stay.

An inn overlooking the Shimanto River. The special room has a wooden deck, and the star-filled sky that can be seen from there at night was amazing. Since the inn is a single inn on the mountain, there is no light around and it was easy to see the stars. The bath attached to the room is also made of wood, and when you open the window, you can take a bath while looking at the Shimanto River. The food was delicious, but nothing special, just a little better than a normal hot spring inn. Overall, it was a good place to stay!
