Rooms are small, view from room is okay, hotel staff is helpful, don't get your food added to the package even the breakfast, you will get ch-ole bhature and a loo pratha everyday for sure besides few more items in the breakfast. Breakfast menu isn't good. Waiters in the restaurant give more attention to the people whose food isn't part of the package to get more tips though i also gave them tip. There are flyes everywhere in the restaurant so be ready to share your food with them every time you go there. Hotel staff is used to it and not at all bothered. This is the most annoying thing. Food taste is awesome but you can't enjoy it as flyes are there to have their share. It's a steep road in front of the hotel from where you will take entry. Ankit at the reception is very helpful and soft spoken.

Food was too costly and upto the mark. Breakfast items was limited. Everything was chargeable including extra mineral water. They were provided 1/2 ltr two bottles per day. Ro water test was not good. We prefer to lunch dinner in the other restorent. When we stayed that night had party in hotel premise there was not parking. Our car was parked in the midnight around 2 o clock

Superb experince to stay at hotel southgate shimla. Staff and service both are excelent . Staff is too coperative. Food quality too good and taste is superb ❤️. Just love Southgate Hotel ❤️

Positives property is well maintained and beautiful with good valley view, food was super delicious and menu is exhaustive can give an extra star for it. It also has a decent parking space, staff are polite and ready to help, heritage block is currently unavailable and under renovation. Can be improved
complimentary breakfast menu is light and very limited with too less options to choose from.
