Woodsmoke Retreat

Ideal place for a weekend trip with family/friends. Apart from amazing view of the hills, it serves delicious food and has several games to engage & spend time there. It also has a spa to rejuvenate to de-stress but that does not have a regular staff. So one needs to pre book the services. Though the food is delicious, it's bit pricey. Staff is very helpful & courteous.

This is a great property conveniently situated close to Shimla city. The staff Keshav, Lucky, Dheeraj, Nitin, Kamal, Ajay, and ***oj are wonderful. The cabin with balcony we booked was comfortable for 4 nights, food service a la carte, room service and breakfast buffets are decent. It's in the woods, so I would suggest guests to not mind the random insects around. Cleanliness and hygiene is worth the cost. Highly recommended if you wish to stay away from the chaos yet access Shimla for a day - 30-45 mins away. The resort is located opposite Maa Taradevi Temple - the 2 km drive up the hill is extremely steep with sharp curves so only experienced drivers should attempt on well-serviced vehicles. Guys, the room was amazing. But beyond all of this keshav the front office guy and chef Dheeraj were Amazing.. hospitality here filled my heart. If you Are around stay here for them!! This place is awesome

The best service we encountered during our visit. The housekeeping team was very vigilant to ensure that everything was delivered on time as promised. We did not struggle whatsoever. We were a group of five families, including children and infants, and we are all in amazement at how well we were cared for. Everyone, from the ***agement to the engineering personnel to the housekeeping crew, ensured that we had the finest possible experience. None showed a reaction to anything. This encounter has made every one of their customers loyal for ***y years. The most accommodating personnel ever.

Okay We found dirty toilets, TV, WiFi, Toilet flush, wasn’t working, rooms had big spiders. They didn’t provide drinking water. At breakfast the spread was poor and actually all the bowels were empty, no cups, no tea, no water, no breads, no omelette, no paranthas, no sabji. We had to wait almost half an hour. Overall, site location is good but nothing works here. AVOID THIS PROPERTY

Generally, hotel/resort reviews start with how awesome the location is, food is or service is at the hotel etc. However, I would like to start my review with how great the staff was to us at this resort. Mr. Lucky (***ager) at the resort, first allotted us couple of best cottages available at the resort as a courtesy since we had booked our stay well in advance. Location of these rooms was simply breathtaking and believe it or not, our rooms were next to property's library :) ( i haven't seen too ***y resorts housing a library). We ran into trouble as our daughter fell sick and we had to go to Shogi's market to buy medicines for her. Since we did not have a car and there was no commute available, Mr Lucky and Mr Sandeep (from accounts depar**ent) were considerate enough. Mr. Sandeep went extra mile for us and took us to local market in his own personal car. We bought the medicines and came back. Since our daughter's situation didn't improve much, we decided to shorten our trip by 1 day and return to our home. When we explained our situation to Mr. Lucky and his staff, they immediately arranged a cab for us so that we can go back. Considering that it was peak summer tourist season, arranging a cab on such a short notice was not easy. However, Mr. Lucky ensured that we got the cab for our travel. Overall, we are extremely thankful to Mr. Lukcy, Mr. Sandeep and their entire staff for making our stay and experience wonderful. Resort is great, location is awesome and weather is perfect. I had wonderful experience staying there. Property is excellent and rooms are privileged to have breathtaking mountain view. Moreover, the staff is very courteous and hospitable.specifically, food prepared by Chef Dheeraj Sharma was finger licking and outstanding.

I must say the property location and view is superb. Specially the food and their service. I must mention Sunil the room service guy was simply exceptional in his service and the food prepared by chef Dheeraj sharma was customised to the core.

It's a beautiful and peaceful place. Away from the crowd. I have been there thrice with family. I love the rooms with Balcony where you can sit and have your evening team Staff is courteous.would love to visit again ❤️If you are looking for peace this is a perfect place to stay ❤️
